I read an article today where the author tried to educate people. They said "ar-15 round and other semi-auto bullets". I guess someone should tell that dude that everything from .22lr to .50 bmg can be shot semi-auto.
The "gun debate" comes down to two groups.
People who know about guns and people who don't.
One of my best friends was an anti- gun extremist, just as her parents did, too the point of wanting all hunting banned because "meat in the store is so cheap, nobody needs to hunt." Then she fell in live with a military man who served in Iraq who has guns. Now she shoots, can tell you stats and doesn't support any of the new "this feels good but is meaningless in terms of actual gun safety" laws. Ignorance before education.
I keep wanting to ask how her parents feel knowing their only grandchild is growing up in a house with guns in it.

It's pretty terrible how little these people know about firearms, and yet they strive for a complete ban... but only the scary ones, not all of them. Besides, YOUR truth and facts are just social constructs." For these people, discussion is all about manipulation. Life is about manipulation. And they're skilled at manipulation, because that's the only conversational skill they practice. Forget research, forget discerning fact from feeling. Leftist "research" is a matter of packaging manipulation in a way that makes it look like truth.

@@liam.s789 The federal government mandates background checks in EVERY STATE. If you want to sell firearms commercially you need an FFL and have to use the NICS system to background check all customers. If you order a firearm online it must be sent to an FFL for transfer.
You can only avoid a background check if you buy a firearm privately. But demanding background checks for private sales is pointless since it's unenforceable.
@@liam.s789 Not prior to the Brady Bill of 1993 was passed. Americans could walk in a gun store with an I. D and money fill out paperwork to be kept at the gun store and leave. No background check was needed.
