I hate to be that guy, but I don't want to believe I live in a world where people ARE just that stupid, so I assume they are doing this on purpose. Specifically, it's the fish school strategy. Right now, poorer people are disproportionately targeted by criminals because they can't afford to defend themselves. So, the poor want to ban the guns and throw the middle class under the bus so that they are targeted instead of themselves. What they don't realize, is that it will simply create more criminals, so all people are doing is ensuring everyone suffers equally.

Obama ordered many government departments to buy a lot of ammo when he was president to drive the price up so that everyday people couldn't afford to defend themselves.

I’ve lived in Kentucky for 7 years. I’ve never seen a friend of mine or family member pull out a gun and I can’t recall a single time in public that I knew someone was carrying a gun. But this lady told her kid that if someone randomly pulls out a gun that you shouldn’t touch it, it’s creating fear.

But the definition of an "assault rifle" is a firearm that is capable of "Selective fire" meaning you have a mode for Fully Automatic fire. Which is already illegal to posses these types of firearms. I wouldn't call it an "Assault rifle" because inanimate objects are not capable of assaulting anyone. But it definitely is a term used by people who have no idea about firearms for sure...

As was pointed out, Mexico for example has a total ban on guns. They also have a murder rate 6 times the US.
Now as to School Shootings, the massive increase was due to the Gun Free School act of 1990. More children have been killed since that law went into effect than in all of prior history. This shows that the gun free zones are a failed idea. To prove the point, consider the opposite case of the gun free zone, that being a place filled to the brim with guns. The prime example would be a Gun Show. So the question comes up, when was the last mass shooting at a gun show. The answer is never.
I just love how these people just openly admit that they have 0 clue about what they are talking about but continue to defend their position.

Not only do they have compulsary military service, but the guns they train with during their military service are quite literally free for them to own and take home after their term of service.

Keep in mind that there isn't a true definition of a mass shooting, every agency has a different definition. The US has also just started tracking these in 2012, so no real history of how long it has happened. Some definitions include gang violence, which is most of the shootings themselves. I'm outside of a city, shootings daily in the city but rarely out here and when it does happen, they're from the city. Democratic city I might add. It goes with the argument of the top 10 murder states are red but if you look closer, most of that happens in the democratic led cities, so that doesn't stick either.

As a Swiss, I have a few suggestions for the first gentleman in the interview. Yes, we have a very low crime rate AND a very high gun density. For 12 years I had my assault rifle (fully automatic) at home. My service pistol as well and then all the private sporting and collector's guns that I and my partner own. The reason why we have a much lower crime rate is probably not because of the weapons, but is a social issue.
Assault rifles do not exist, it's a made up word bij the government, to make it look bad, don't play there games, it's just a rifle.

Leftists prefer censorship, confiscation, releasing and refusing to prosecute violent criminals, bigotry and racial discrimination, and a "choice" to intentionally kill innocent little boys and girls just because they want to. It’s unsettling to me these parents who think their kids are so wise. The lady says “my kids don’t want guns, do you want to ask my kid what do you thinks? “ Nobody cares what her kid thinks. Your kid probably wants ice cream for dinner. We have to know what’s best. Your kids don’t know what monsters are lurking in the darkness. We have to protect them. Idiots like him think they can get rid of guns. Try to compare countries that have done it. They love bring up Australia. First, look how Australia treated their citizens during covid. The government no longer fears the people and it went from a free country to a dictatorships over night. Second, crime has not gone down at all. In fact, the number of victims has gone up. People will always find other weapons as they always have. None of these idiots want to "prevent" why this is happening. In many cases, its due to fatherless homes, abusive homes, and mentally ill people. Mix in a little liberal and democrat zero accountability and telling their supporters to go out and commit crime, there is your problem.
I think the difference between the right & left fundamentally, is that the left sees everyone as inherently good & looks at the world idealistically with rose colored glasses, and the right is well aware of human nature & that we all have a capacity for evil. One outlook is much more realistic than the other.

You can ban the sale, possession, and even commercial manufacture of guns if you want with laws that law enforcement agencies then enforce. It would be imperfect and many guns would remain, but confiscate them as they're found and charge the owner with possession of a restricted item. A bunch of guns are already seized, I had a hard time finding a national figure but apparently in just New Orleans last year 1600 guns were seized by the ATF, and that's with the pretty lenient laws in Louisiana.

This is why i like your videos. those last 3 people were not dummies. When the girl called the dude a "comrade" I rolled my eyes, but, while I might not agree with them, they were at least thinking individuals. People i might actually get along with. People not afraid to have a real discussion. Even the dude in the dress being angry at the legislators, basically saying, it's their job, they know what we're paying them for, they need to do their damn job, I agree with that sentiment, I'd probably have a good conversation at a bar with him. I just like how, even though you have your own obvious opinions, you aren't imposing on people, you actually allow the nuance to come out. Meanwhile, I don't think that should ever be an excuse. I was very politically aware and active in high school. The policies being made now will impact you as an adult, therefore, you should care about what your politicians are voting in favor for. You may be too young to vote, but you aren't too young to show up to your political headquarters and pamphlet drop, make calls, or go to open Q and A sessions to ask your potential leaders the tough questions.

I think the girl at 12:00 is the epitome of gun control activists. She says things like "Only the police and military should have guns" and "One bullet is enough for self defense", but when she's confronted with the questions "What if there are two robbers? What if you miss? What if you don't have any other means of protection?", her mind explodes.

I have carried a concealed firearm everyday for the last 28 years. I have shot nobody and pray that's the way it stays. I never wished to harm anyone for any reason, but I refuse to give up my protection from unwanted aggression. Over the course of 28 years I have been into fistfights while I've had my firearm on my person in my holster, I never deemed it necessary to shoot because I was not in fear for my life even though I was violently attacked both times. One of the times I had to fight 2 guys they were a father and son about 45 years of age and twenty-four years of age. At the time I was 50, I did okay. I did not win the fight but nobody got seriously hurt in the long run and they had a firearm with them and I was aware of it and my fiance said the woman pointed the gun at me while I was on the ground fighting. Fortunately I was unable to see this and I was not shot.. this is not a firearm it's a people problem a mental problem and I don't care about others problem. Parents have done a sad job raising children the last 30 years and this is the low-class type of individuals we are getting

There is a balance between chasing security and the costs of that security, especially in something that is as rare a hazard as a school being shot up.
We could surround the campus with razor wire, strip search every kid/pre-authorized adult, walk bomb sniffing dogs up and down the halls, and have marines posted at every doorway. The emotional damage to the kids would be awful and a bunch of money would be wasted on it.
Getting rid of the gun free zone probably would help make the schools a less attractive target. Changing building codes for schools to have more vectors of escape and to reduce funneling students could help long term.
