@@No_Nag sure, well mine was 90 with shipping so I'm not too worried. I have an interface with multiple outs, was thinking about using it in my DAW as outboard gear, you think it could be relatively useful in that context?
@@kiko1935 Absolutely. Just check the levels as the GP-8 isn't line level. And it's only mono in but stereo out. So don't try to force feed it with a stereo signal. Great price :)
@@kiko1935If you have a stereo track, just use the left or right channel for the effect and you won't have any phasing issues. Also most instruments are mono before they go through an effects unit unless it's a stereo sample of some sort ;)
Joakim Floke Well, their current market value seems € 150, which isn't exactly cheap, but it's not overly expensive either. Thing is, I can only spend my money once and I was already eyeballing the Moog DFAM...
Thanks for posting this demo of this roland effect. Just picked one up and looking forward to it! Are you considering doing a control through the midi portion of this unit with your keyboard?
No Nag Recordings Id prefer to have midi controller for it, tried the GP-8 yesterday - 8 pedals in one box, and sound is great, can’t beat it fo the price.
Thanks for the video! Wanted one for a long time and finally found one in good condition and am awaiting its arrival. Did you use a reamping device or did you plug the synth directly into the guitar input?
@@No_NagThanks for answering! Amazing, I thought it wouldn't work well enough without impedance adjustment. I'm looking forward to using it. Besides guitar I'm also very tempted to try it out on vocals.
Geez, who would've thought that a keyboard review would be what finally got me to pull the trigger on this one. All the guitar reviews dial in such ugly tones, but it sounds much more usable when played with a synth.
@@amonster8mymother Ok, they are all 2 prong. Get a transformer. We have 230 volt where I live and I have lots of gear running on 100-120v. It might be that you can makes an easy bit of soldering on the transformer inside of it but I'd leave that to a tech. 🙂

These are magical units/even in 2022 !!!###
Yes! And at the going rate 😳🤗
Good idea, thanks, I didn't think about that, I will try then.
This made me cop one. The compressor, filter and delay/chorus are especially attractive. Nice demo.
Cool! Thanks. Yes, they are still very useable but a bit limited. But the sound quality is still great in comparison.

Been doing this since the early 90's... :)
This made me buy one. The "big-hair" presets are a laugh but once tweaked it rocks!
Awesome!
Perfect for my DEP-3 :)
Great demo !
Thank you! Yes, I also have a Dep-3 that I pair it up with from time to time. It's a good combo.
Oh, now I want one.
Yes! Just go, don't think twice. They are cheap... 🙄😂

@@bastiaanw3519 just so you know, the filter chip in it is half of its value.
Super demo merci...👍👍👍
Thank you!!

No, it's embedded in my studio setup. In general I don't tinker to much with midi control over my fx units. If I find the need I would :)
Thank You!!!
You are welcome :P
I just be two of theme home lol
And foot controllers
I have some pedals too. I just dont use them.

@@LeadingMotive you might have to have the volume lower than usuall. In The demo I use a Juno 106 which you can set the output to that of a guitar.

Thanx! It is such a good unit for its price.
I just found out one of my gp16 is Japanese. I'm in Canada. What the heck???
They are all from japan. Why the worry, does it have an accent? :)
