This scene and the previous one before it in Frostback mountain have to be some of the greatest scene in the game.
I agree. They're both big and awesome moments in the game.
ReinaDCD When you feel at your lowest, after corypheus' annihilation of haven, you have been picked up, brushed down and marched on with a fire that never existed before.
"Your leader... your herald... Your INQUISITOR!" *cheers erupt*
Whoami691 Loved the part where Cullen and Josephine were cheering their hearts out, then they realise, oh crap, people are watching me act like this. How embarassing!
they left out the companions
This is a great game interesting plot dialogue and lore combined with good exploration customization and gameplay not much more needed in a great rpg
Cullen is the ultimate hype-man
Yeah, his vibes even got to Josephine. Then she was like oh sh- people are watching me. xD
he himself was hyped pretty good pre-game
So is Cass lol
@@hoarder1919 I saw this comment and went to check, and literally none of the trailers heavily featured Cullen or even featured him at all outside of just being in the background.
@@zohaibmehmood3027 have i ever said anything about trailers? you clearly didnt watch the Dragon Age community closely back in those days pre-DAI
I love Skyhold more than Haven, but does it piss anyone else off that Cassandra stopped joining you at the war table? I know she's not an advisor, but I felt like Cassandra only had a part in the story if you make her have one after Haven. It kinda bothered me for some reason
Yes, she declared the Inquisition, but that's about it. Josephine as ambassador is tied to the Connections, Leliana as spymaster to Secrets and Cullen as commander to Power, all three are special departments of the Inquisition, which makes them your advisors, Cassandra isn't part of any of that, aside of her rank of Seeker, she's not part of any special department. While she took part in Haven, it was before the Inquisition even got their leader. Leliana said it herself "we're not ready, we have no leader, no support and now even no Chantry" or something. But in Skyhold, everything changed, the Inquisition got an official leader, the official structure, more proffessional, Cassandra wasn't needed to take part in the War room anymore, as she was the Inquisitor's companion officially, like everyone else who followed (Blackwall, Solas, Sera and so on). Why should she have a special treatment just because she's your closest friend at the time (mine was Dorian btw XD)?
Am I the only one who thinks this would be pressuring in real life? Cass makes the offer in front of a LOT of people. Makes it really hard to say no.
Actually had I been the one put on the spotlight there, I would be most tempted to be most 'uncooperative'.
While there is an option to decline, there's actually more than one option to accept, which is the main focus, it's not about accepting or not, it's more about HOW you accept. You can be honest and say it's your honor, or you can wonder about it being unimous, everyone wanting you to lead them and stuff. That's the real choice here, what kind of person you'll be, what kind of leader?
Found out, that even if you decline, you're still forced to become Inquisitor, as Cassandra doesn't take NO as an answer. And she's right, there's no better candidate. While the Herald wasn't their first pick (that was either the Hero of Ferelden, if they survived Origins, or Hawke), it's made pretty clear, that the Herald is indeed the best fit for the role. The Herald was already leading the Inquisition since their choice to work with either Templars, or Mages to close the Breach, and the event, that followed.
THE KING IN THE....I mean, Inquisitor...
I dont want it
Jajajajajaja
I always love how Josephine is all like "Oh fuck, where are my manners!" Right after Cullen notices her cheering.
One of the reasons I truly love Cullen (and end up romancing him every play through) is that he not only trusts you and follows you wholeheartedly, but he rallies the entire inquisition around you. If I heard a commanding officer speak like Cullen does, I would follow them wherever they choose to go!
This comment...... you're so right!
I could never get past his actions in the previous two games to romance him sadly
From the ashes of Haven you have rebuilt, you have grown, you have marched on and now, and you have come back stronger than ever before..
FOR THE INQUISITION!
^ THIS!
Will go down as one of the best moments in gaming. Pretty epic.
Loved the soundtrack they played for this scene. :D
the most cringeworthy moment, for me.
fucking Josephine gets me every time XD
+HinataElyonToph She's so awesome! :D
ReinaDCD I know right XD
+HinataElyonToph
so funny when you start/try to start a romance with her, she never gets it... ;) but Leliana do xD
I just want to know where I can find the music where the drums start playing at 3:59! :( It's only like 13 seconds but it's awesome as hell! :P

YOUR LEADER!!! YOUR HERALD!!! YOUR INQUISITOR!!!
I love Josephine's little cry after Cullen's speech.
The way Josephine cheers around 3:48 is possibly the most adorable thing ever. :D
Also, Cullen is the coolest. Period.
BassBumbass They were so out of character that it was funny! xD
Cullen rocks!
In the beginning of the game I digged the gameplay, story seemed good enough and all that ... but after this scene and the one prior ("The Dawn will come") made me so fucking hyped! I mean this is as epic as a movie or tv-show. Just amazing how good they pulled this off.
Too bad the same can't be said for regular tv and movies. Videogames these days are becoming the true storytellers
@@matthewclokus7311 I think writing in games have fallen as much if not more so than TV/movies these last couple of years. Far too few truly great games in my opinion.
Love the music in this scene; really sounds like something out of BioWare's older games. Can't find it anywhere on the OST though =(
Xelpherpolis The soundtrack used for this scene is one of my favourites too!
I wish I could've worn my armor in this scene instead of my pyjamas
The first words that came to my mind when I saw this scene for the first time?
Right at the moment the inquisitor raises her sword, I go all like:
*IT.IS.ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
+Shakduhn Something like that went through my head too in this epic scene. :D
+Shakduhn
first time that option came i was like, for my own power!!!
I was like: "wow you guys must all really suck"
I was like......By the power of Grayskull........I have the.......well.. you know the rest.
First time with my Trevelyan-Dude: Goosebums and awesome and oh my lord x3
Second time however was a bit unintentional comical since my second Inquisitor was this tiny, skinny elf-lady rising this big ass sword as if it was made of paper XD
3:19 Cullen reminds me of Chaucer from A Knight's Tale... "The Enforcer of our Lord God!. The one, the only... Sir Uuuuulric von Lichtenstein!"
That Leliana Swag Walk, so awesome
#swag
It's the chainmail hips I tell ya.
When i saw that scene for the first time i played i actually got chills
i just played through this arc and im finally sold on DAI. God damn this moment gave me chills.
so many years later I still find it funny that the Inquisitor always walks around like they have to take a massive shit.
0:17 Cassandra: eh mate come over here! and the rest be like "oh shit the herald is coming, I'am out!"
My favorite scene in my favorite game. God bless the makers of this game.
this scene gives me goosebumps
+Sparrow Me too.
+Quintikable I know. Thanks for stating the obvious. :)
What the hell happened to Mass effect andromeda lol
Different studio under the Bioware name
This moment felt like "The King In The North!!" scene from GoT. Pure epicness.
Wow, Cullen......he rocks so much!!!! What a character!
I seriously hated him in Origins. Then I started to love him in Inquisition (and romancing him btw),. Going back to Origins, it feels so strange. XD That's why I absolutely love Inquisition over Origins. DA:O is not a bad game, but the character development for Cullen makes Inquisition a lot better game for me. Not just that, but it plays a big part anyway.
TILL THIS VERY DAY THIS SHIT STILL GIVES ME GOOSEBUMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so when u get power u get goosebumps me 2
@@jesusexposed1848
Yes. In this moment, I felt all powerful
and where was the rest of the inner circle during this scene? -_-
+katsupoi24
well know i wont think of anything else during this scene, ty
The conversation with Varric is the best.
-You the only hope these people have.Hole in the sky demons everywhere......
-What am I to them?
-Everything
3:49 Oh, Josie...
She was so freaking funny! xD
So.. much.. goosebumps ;_;
And shivers. And awesomeness.
I don't get Cullen and Josephines reaction at 3:47. I have played through this game and still don't understand their reaction time compared to the next scene. It's like they were surprised by someone or something. Maybe Hawke showed up at this time in the original planning but it was cut by Bioware because it was the Inquisitors moment to shine. Who knows?
Nah they just relized that they are cheering too much for their comfort and feel emberassed.
Haha, what darthportus said! They're feeling pretty embarrassed. How strange would it seem to the people of Skyhold for the Commander and the Antivan noble to let loose and cheer like there was no tomorrow?
They are meant to keep calm and collected in EVERY situation, always standing ready, they had a momentary lapse in duty and joined in the celebrations a bit too much. :P
He was like, "Oh great. Here comes the DLC."
Can't wait for the DLC's!
Hi, I'm curious did you get copyright claimed for uploading this videos either from Soundtrack to the cutscenes themselves?
Nope, didn't receive any copyright claims for any of my Inquisition videos.
Thanks that's somewhat reassuring.
Anyone know the theme that plays when she rise the sword?
Miss Lavellan: I will lead us against Corypheus and I will be an ambassador. I am an Elf standing for Thedas. The inquistion is for all.
Kassandra: Whatever you sa… Wherever you lead us!
😏
One of the best RPGs of all time.
The Order choice for the cutscene is better, I think you need all three conversation perks.
The Order choice?
When the player chooses the corypheus must be stopped dialogue, there's a missing 5th choice. "We will bring order" or something
Matthew French Ohh, I see. That sounds very... forceful. D: Did you pick that choice?
It's more like restore order, and yes. Can't find it on youtube.
Matthew French Ah, okay. I'll try to get it and upload it once I reach that part of the game again. :P
I can see so many people talk about how this was their favourite scene in the game, and yet when I saw it for the first time I felt it was rather bland. Of course that's easy to say now after so many years and so many new games that toy around with the "cinematic" feel. But I really encourage everyone to have a look at Matt Rhode's storyboard for this scene, you'll find it on artstation. I sort of wish they made it more like their original plan instead of rushing it.
That's just my opinion though.
Where can I get that sword? It looks so cool! Is it available in-game?
... And where can I get one in real life?
Can you actually obtain this sword in the game? Or is it just a cinematic thing?
+Greg Young It's a cinematic thing I think.
Think of it as a ceremonial sword, not something you'd be holding during a battle.
I wish there was a video were inky got her/his dragon but it doesn't seem there is one
Your Inquisititor is very pretty.
Thank you, Amanda!
Sounds like something kieran would say
Why the hell was it skipping so much?
Does anyone know what the name of the soundtrack used in this scene is called? I've been trying to search for it forever. TAT
YuseiXAki100 I'd love to know too. :( It's very, very familiar though. It was played when I was running around somewhere too.
I was kinda hoping they'd give you the inquisitor helm..just some sword..
+katsupoi24 You can get the Helm... just that you won't get it during this scene. :x
where do get that sword.
Is that sword avaliable on the game?Couldnt find it anywhere
Nope, not that I know of.
ReinaDCD sad such a badass sword.
Its more ceremonial...think of as ice from game of thrones used for show and delivering justice not for battle
***** High five! We both have good taste. :P
+ReinaDCD My God, she looks like the older sister of _my_ first Inquisitor. But this is a BioWare game after all... I was thinking like, this could be totally a thing,
'...This is unanomous?'
'We all agreed to this, Shepard.'
'That wasn't the question, Ash... Wait what...'
'I... Uh... Also seem to have the same kind of deja vu, Inquisitor...'
'Is this a spell? Is this the work of Corypheus? What do your agents tell you, Liara? I mean... Leliana... Damn it... I should go.'
+Zoltán Szászi Haha, lovely skit you came up with right there!
ReinaDCD Thanks :D Have you also found the Mass Effect easter egg in the Winter Palace? I think I was laughing for almost a minute... And when the Inquisitor finishes a dialogue with Dorian saying _I should go_, I was like, "Oh BioWare, no you didn't" :D
+Zoltán Szászi LOL, yeah I remember that! That was amazing and I couldn't stop laughing for a good 3 minutes. xD
i have a feeling which i could be wrong, but let's say the Inquisitor does play a role in DA4, you know how each of the 4 races, the first preset of each race i can see Bioware take for example this female human your using. if you go with a female human i believe this girl's face is the first one shown, they do the same for the dalish elf, dwarf and Qunari. but the human and elf especially on the female side, the female human default preset comes with this face and has brown hair. the female dalish elf has a more feminine face with blonde hair, but otherwise they both look similar. now why am i saying all that, well because just like Hawke in the past you could never customize the default, but you can make some tweaks to there character in Inquisition as long as you select the customize option. so being that the Inquisitor at this point after so many years is such a beloved character in the series, i can see a similar situation. Bioware will use the default human face and the dalish elf default face, but obviously with updated graphics. but they may include a customize option similar to like they did with Hawke, i wouldn't have a problem with that because i like both the default male Hawke and female. but people aren't really sure if there is a canon Inquisitor, the closest i can see on the male and female side is what i said already.
3:54 *bioware meeting* "so, isn't it weird that people cannot access skyhold through the main gate leading to the bridge? cuz there is no stairs or slope to get there..." "nah... fuck it, who cares about this game making sense?" minor flaws and major qualities in this game! Try it, love it!
+Beldinoob
ikr, i have bin botherd with that eery single game. plus that solas have an staff from dragon age origins during the cutscene to skyhold, that never come back after.
Always assumed that’s just a tower that was built into the mountain, and the entrance was at the bottom
