I love the faithful dialogue options. In my opinion a religious Inquisitior fits the story best.

There's at least one faithful option you missed here. When you recruit the Templars, a faithful Inquisitor can tell them Andraste sent the Herald to remind their Order of its original purpose, as a shield against dark magic. It's a pretty epic moment.

i never tried that option, is it any good. the way it sounds would make it seem like mages would be govern similar to how the chantry ran things for years, but since you mentioned what the order was originally meant to be, i think most mages wouldn't be opposed to dark magic, but that hasn't always been the case. some people are forced to become tranquil.

The dialogue option itself doesn’t change anything. It’s a nice recognition of your character’s personality. But it feels like the best way to secure their support by appealing to their divine duty.

@Hawaiian_Pizza_Enjoyer you as the Inquisitor actually has an effect on the mages in general, same if you go with the templars. yes whoever becomes divine obviously would get more of a say, but keep in mind the Inquisitor represented the Inquisition, and the Inquisition was about restoring order no matter what the result. as long as the Inquisitor can put an end to the mage/templar problem, but also come up with a solution, that's where our choice comes in. now depending on who becomes divine, they can make certain decisions we made harder to keep.
but it'll mainly come down to where Bioware is at on it.
anything can happen, but just because the Inquisitor's story might be over, the game wasn't all about them. it was about bringing change, so it'll mainly come down to which choices Bioware will honor.
for we all know, they might feel like it's time to move on from the mage conflict,
on the flipside magic in general might also be threatened to fade away forever since we know Solas has a goal in mind as the Dreadwolf he wants to accomplish. so i can see a situation in Dragon Age 4 where, for the first time people are showing all mages sympathy, and what it can come from is what Solas plans on doing with the veil.
that could possibly effect any person who's gifted with magic, people that are born mages are giften with magic because of their connection to the fade. well if that connection was suddenly cut off, they would become almost like tranquil, the rite of tranquility happens with certain individuals,
but when there magic is taken that's not the only thing gone. they also lose themselves in the process, having no emotions, but if the veil was suddenly removed i think it would be alot worse.
well Solas did say that if he succeeds which he believes he will, that will be the end of the world they know of.
he says over and over how he wants to restore what once was, but it's not so much elves is why he feels that way. it's because of Spirits and the old gods that once were,
you recall during his personal quest, you end up helping one of his Spirit friends,
but what happened when we went there, they were turned into a Pride Demon.
the humans didn't know what they were getting themselves into, but his reaction to the whole thing and towards them.
that pretty much can give you an idea of exactly what could happen, if he ends up getting his way.
well if there is to be another Dragon Age game and not just talk, well we know every Dragon Age game so far had something going on that needed to be addressed.
but i think there's a good chance alot of the choices we made as the Inquisitor, will override whoever the Divine is.
i get the sense, the Divine isn't gonna be as important in DA4 compared to what happened in Inquisition. what i mean by that is, i think the divine unless it's Vivienne will likely play a minor role. if you made Vivienne divine, i can see Bioware doing more with her.
alot of people like Leliana, but to be honest the only reason people choose her is mainly to make sure you choice you made matters. well surprisingly Vivienne forms a new thing, but it depends on what it is you bring up to her.
even though she'll disapprove of freeing mages, she'll still ask what role in the end does the Inquisitor see.
so depending on what you tell, she actually does sort form something to go along with the idea. so if you mentioned something about mages in chantry, shell start thinking about going along with that idea.
Remember Vivienne is all about power in general, so if you put something on her mind, she usually goes with it, but she'll obviously do her own thing.
