Why superglue instead of Loctite?

Probably because it is strong enough for machining and will be replaced with the screw-connection visible in the still at the end of the video.

Also because the main difference between the 2 is that loctite is about 30x more expensive. If it's a properly sized slip fit, either one works just fine to keep it in place, and a little heat is all you need for dissasembly
