Those chords that come in like rays of sunshine when he's finally ready to face reality, and for a little while at least, find peace. Absolutely beautiful.
Yes, Sir. I always remember and loved how the "REEEWIIIIND" initially cued my mind to expect something different coming in. It started the same, but then the glimmer of a piano poked it's notes out of nowhere, and suddenly it unravels into a glorious moment. But the reason I commented on your post (watched this two years late) was how you perfectly encapsulated it all: "... for a little while at least." There is a genuine beauty in that understanding of how life is. I read and appreciated that.
@@muninraven3327 Yeah I liked that too (6 mos too late) He isn't solved, his life is still tenuous. The 1Kps are a lifeline. Also his previous relationship is in shambles but maybe he met a new lovely lady. It's a turning point instead of an end point.
Facts. We've spent so many years in the UK listening and appeciating American Hip Hop, so it's awesome to see the Americans finally catching up and appreciating our own many different forms of Hip Hop. ✊🏿
This album is sick, 20 years have passed but i'm still listening to it every single day. And what about his twitter album? I love it so much too! There is no single reaction to it, it's just so unfair. Greeting and respect to you from Russia!
@@JeffDonnelly yes! Trust me this is a banger. And then later down the line chip, jammer, d double did a track called school of grime, the video one is the one you’ll want to do as audio version is different. You’ve heard it when you did KANO 60 mins live reaction anyway.
Well done Jeff. Great reaction. That moment when the piano chords come in on the 2nd time round and you realise what he's doing with the song and then again when you get the line "that's where it was...in all it's glory..." I was in my car at the time listening to this for the first time punching the air with my fists shouting "Yes!". I'll never be able to relieve that moment, but I'll never forget it. Power of music. Agree this is art
Dude... You have made *A Grand...* new again with these videos. The ambition alone of this track is amazing. This could so easily just not have worked. And here again Skinner goes super positive without being saccharine or sounding like a douchebag. And oh yeah, it ain't short.
This song came out when I was 16, i'm 33 now and I listen to this song from time to time and get goose bumps. It was such a nice feeling seeing someone else discovering this for the first time.. I don't mean to sound so wholesome and after-school special, but I think we could all learn a lot from this song.
Dude... Seeing your reaction to these Skinner tracks... I don't know if I've ever seen such a genuine unashamedly blown away reaction, ever. I generally don't watch reaction videos, they're usually so contrived. As I said in another post, you've made The Streets work new again for me.
Great tune Jeff! I mean I went to CD in Brighton before rona happened and brought everything I could from The Streets probably one of the best decisions I have had ever lol!
I got goosebumps when I first heard this track what a song to finish the album it's a great story I had smile on my face when he found his thousand quid genius Mr skinner
I love the shitty little "No one gives a crap about Mike" chorus Always amused me to imagine Mike stabbing at a keyboard with one finger and singing it
Hope your keeping well bro. Glad u liked that album. It's not exactly the sort of thing you'd expect to be listened to outside the UK never mind appreciated
Jeff, I hate to comment without having listened yet, but please check out Verb T & Illinformed - Rotation. Just released and I'd love to see your reaction, it's such a great tune.
You missed out dry your eyes if you were doing the album in order!! 😏 I remember hearing empty cans for the first time it blew my head off! I might get hypnosis to wipe this album from my memory so I can experience it for the first time again 🤣

Only guy out here regularly doing The Streets, love it

You need to do a reaction of the streets - has it come to this? proper UK classic! 💯🇬🇧
Can do!

Beautiful album man. There’s a plot summary on Wikipedia that ties it up nicely
Oh cool! Thank you!
This track still brings tears. Great reaction.

Oh, and I love how the fight is just two guys who can't fight shoving each other. He doesn't have to pretend to be a badass.

Haha no waaaay🤣👊 that’s awesome dude!😂 Damn good call!
And another thing... I love that he goes back to that TV that was first set up in Track 1.
Dude. Love this tune.

Words can describe how much I love this album no artist could make ordinary life so exciting a true original
Not big into music but the streets hit diff, loved em for near 20 year. Great vid bro
Oh yeah, that big rewind, we ain't going out on that note... It's still thrilling. Dude makes an 8 minute positive rap track work...
Great reaction to a great track
Thank you! And word!🔥💯
I love the shitty little "No one gives a crap about Mike" chorus

Holy crap. The other voices that are almost in harmony with him at the end, is that a child's voice that's one of them?
Really enjoying these.
What a mixtape
This is the complete opposite of a mixtape. Mixtapes are just compilations of songs, this is a really carefully constructed concept album
Hope your keeping well bro. Glad u liked that album. It's not exactly the sort of thing you'd expect to be listened to outside the UK never mind appreciated
Yes! I've been waiting on this one bro, this was the main song I'd have on my Walkman when I was like 9 just laid in bed
Hope you dive into original pirate material now that's one of those albums that everybody of a certain age has or has owned at one time or the other
Definitely will man!
Legendary album. You should react to "Nas & Damian Marley - Patience" - the realest track you will ever hear !

Aaaah just heard you say you’ve heard dry your eyes!
Haha that was awesome!😂🙌 and wooord man I get why you would want to!

Plot twist
The whole album is a build up to this song
