Very cute hat! I will definitely be trying this soon. I do have a suggestion on the pom pom attachment. Since the hat is washable, but the pom pom is not, I sew a button in the inside of the top of the hat, then I take the loop from the pom pom and pull it through the top of the hat with a crochet hook to wind it around the button. That way you can remove the pom pom when you wash the hat and then put the pom pom back on the clean hat without damaging the pom. Use your blow dryer on the pom pom to make it super fluffy.
Very cute hat!!💕💕💕. I love the way you closed up the top!! I WILL be doing that on all my hats from now on! Thank you!!! You make things SOOOO easy to follow and understand!!! 💕💕💕💕 Stay safe!!
Mine is working up great however where I end/start my rows is going like this / as I continue to work more rows, is there something I'm doing wrong and how can I fix this?
This can happen because we are working all in one direction with HDC. I like to gently block my hat before gathering the top and I straighten the seam out then.
Do you think this pattern would still working by decreasing stitched towards the top to close it instead of sewing it closed? And if so, any guesses what percent of the way up to start decreasing?
Did you check your gauge? My guess is that you crochet a little looser than I do. The pattern is not stitch specific so you can work as many rows as you need for the brim and still be able to work the top portion the same.
Written pattern can be found here: www.windingroadcrochet.com/prismatic-crochet-beanie-pattern/
I've made beanies in several styles but the way the top is finished on this one is definitely my favorite and will work with most patterns. Thanks!
Sounds great!

That is a great idea. I have seen that done before.

You are so welcome! And thank you, we are staying home. I am glad you enjoyed the video.
Oooh what a simply clever way to sew the top closed. Thank you for the lovely pattern. 👏🏻🐢
You’re welcome 😊 I am glad you enjoy it. It leaves a nice fold so if you don't want to use a pom pom you don't have to, but I do love a pom pom.
Beautiful beanie looks colorful. Great teaching on the doing of them. Easy to follow.
Thank you, it means a lot.
Such simple but beautiful hat. Will definitely try it out xx
Please do! It works up very fast. I made 3 so far. The blue and grey one in the majority of the video is for my son.
Love this hat and really loved the way you close it thank you

I would decrease in the last 3-4 rows.
??Actually, 47 blosc for brim was still too big so I frogged 2 rows to make 45 rows instead. Why do you think it's so far off from your chart?

I dont know how you get 8 sc in row 2 without going into the turning stitch.
The video says to CH8, Row 1: SC 7, Row 2-60 you will SC 7. (I say 8, but the pattern is 7 and the pattern is written at the top of the screen.)
@@WindingRoadCrochet Ok i think that's what confused me. I think I figured out where I went wrong. Thanks for answering!
Size? 7 years old girl match this size?
In the video I am making the child size, that would work for a head size of 17-19 inches.
