    You know, I walked into a Michael's just to look. To prove to myself I had self control. But than another yarn artist started chatting with me about projects and hats. She was showing me her pintrest and when I saw this hat I bought two balls of yarn and scoured my own pintrest till I found your pattern. This is so cute and your instructions (both written and video) are so clear! Thank you!!!!

    I finished this pattern today - the first hat I've ever made. Up until this point, I've only ever made scarves. I decided to go with the Lavender Sparkle and Paintbox yarn colors you used. I'm going to make a matching scarf with the remaining yarn. I'm absolutely in love, thank you so much!!!

    Why didn't you continue the pattern with the decreases?

      Hi Donna! This video was just showing how to work the stitches in making the Jelly Beanie crochet pattern and can be applied to any size of the pattern. The full pattern can be found on my blog in sizes newborn to adult. I did not show the rest of the decreases because I thought showing how to work for one round could be applied to any size/stitch count for the beanie you're making. I hope that makes sense! Thank you for your question!

    Just saw your post in the Crochet Beginners Group. I love this pretty hat! What I’m so grateful for is that you have the written pattern available to follow along with this tutorial 👏🏼👍🏼 That’s the way I’m going to get better at pattern reading! This hat will be on my rotation for fall/winter/holiday season for sure!!

    How long approx. should the ribbing be for a 2 1/2 year old? She isn't here for me to measure.

    • @LoopsandLoveCrochet
      @LoopsandLoveCrochet  4 года назад

      Hello! Thank you for your question. In the written pattern on the blog, I have sizes written with measurements for toddler (ages 1-2) and then child (ages 3-10) size beanies. A 2.5 year old could go either way, depending on if their head is larger or smaller, but I'd lean towards the measurements for the ages 1-2 size beanie. You can find the free pattern with all of the instructions and ribbing lengths on the blog (loopsandlovecrochet.com)

    I'm having trouble with adult one. It says to SC DEC, SC into the next 6, repeat around (56).. I can't ever get 56. I keep getting 48 😅 someone help me please

    • @LoopsandLoveCrochet
      @LoopsandLoveCrochet  2 месяца назад

      Hello! Thanks for your question! Are you starting with the 64 stitches in the previous round and then repeating the SC DEC and SC next 6 sts for the whole round (DEC, SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, DEC, SC, SC, SC, SC, SC, SC..... and so on). It should work out to go from 64 stitches to 56. I'm happy to help! Feel free to email me if you need some help troubleshooting (loopsandlovecrochet@gmail.com)

    Is this worked in multiples of 4?

      @@LoopsandLoveCrochet nowhere in the pattern does it say what multiples this is worked in. Hence why I asked.

    • @LoopsandLoveCrochet
      @LoopsandLoveCrochet  Год назад

      Sorry about that. I assumed you hadn't seen the written pattern yet (happens a lot on RUclips) so wanted to point you in the right direction. :) This beanie wasn't worked with a specific multiple in mind and each size is different. They were done more with head size and number of inches in length for the ribbing. You'll see that the adult size does start out as a multiple of 4 for the rows of ribbing, but when it comes to the decreases, they are not worked with that multiple so you would have to change those a bit. Hope that answers your question! Thank you!

    • @ToxicTwin35
      @ToxicTwin35 Год назад +1

      @@LoopsandLoveCrochet I will try it in multiples of 2. I made two of these in the teen adult size but they are too small for an adult. Maybe I crochet too tight. I’ll give it another go with a larger brim and see how that works. Thank you for your responses. Have a good day! 😌

    • @LoopsandLoveCrochet
      @LoopsandLoveCrochet  Год назад +1

      Or going up a hook size or 2 might help as well if it's the tension that's causing it to be small. :)
