I loved that bridge at 1:50 when I was there. I wished I had a tripod with me for my L120, because the rooftop of the Hotel Amanek Asakusa Ekimae, has a great shot of Skytree, but I could not steady the camera enough to get a good shot at night. One of the neatest things I found was the Tokyo Kiss sign not far from Shibuya Stream. Right now I have two goals, get a camera that is not a point and shoot, and getting back to Japan. Thanks for the video. One last thing, I too felt the thrill of crossing the scramble.
Damn bro! Why did you fit all those parts to 1 vid? You should've separate them with 15min vid. This is so effin good!!! Thank you, youtube algo! +1 sub here!
Hahaha appreciate it! I feel like going to as many different places as possible when I visit a new city and am trying to avoid the boring street-photographer-walks-around-with-gopro style. 😅 thanks for the sub!
Great video, man. Do you live in Japan? I have lived in Kagoshima for eleven years and travel around Japan to photograph the streets. It would be nice to sit for a coffee, talk art and photograph around. Unfortunately, it’s almost impossible to find people who are really interested in street photography, except for my wife and a few friends. It’s not a very artistic city but full of photogenic places, especially the Sakurajima volcano. I'm planning a trip to Tokyo and Osaka, and if you’re around, it would be nice to meet. Cheers!
Thanks! I live in Bangkok and feel the same way about things here. There are plenty of other artistic people or ones who are into street, but I find it hard to find anyone who really wants to talk about or think about it on a deeper level. I’ll most likely be in Japan again once a year. Add me on IG (same username) and we can riff there.
Hello, I do not sell presets. The photos are mostly edited with photoshop preset “C11” then bringing down the whites and highlights. For the video color grading, I still know little about that. Have just watched several youtube videos on the subject and tried to replicate what they said to do. Thanks for the comment and watching. 🙏
On average… how many hours would we need to take decent amount of street photos in each area of Tokyo? I am currently planning my “photography” trip, and would love to know the estimation of time needed in each area such as ginza, shibuya, shinjuku, and harajiku 🙏
Incredibly hard to say. I generally shoot 2 or 3 hours a day, but to be fair a lot of that “shooting time” is spent wandering around and trying to find something that looks good. If you gradually work your way out from the more chaotic centers of each area it’s not hard to come by cool compositions that are worth fishing at.
@@developingtank sorry for all the questions but I‘m really trying to find the right camera and I didn’t find any good photo examples for Ricoh gr III..is any of your videos just shot with the Ricoh? I really want to have that high resolution type of camera for low budget :D Thank you ☺️
This is amazing dude. Big props
Thanks a lot, man. I appreciate it 🙏
Brilliantly done. The cinematic quality of your video is next level. Will use your tips when I visit japan

Where did you see the sake barrels? That looked interesting.
They’re in Tokyo’s central park equivalent
Do you sell the preset that you used in this video and photos? The effect is stunning
