this is BEAUTIFUL.. awesome tutorial because, I can see where the hook is going instead of just saying go into the next stitch and you don't know where that stitch starts, I will be using this in a few minutes as soon as I get set up.. The color is very good, bold and you can see. it.. You did a 100% great job
Thank you. This is perfect for a shrug I am almost done with. I decided I wanted a ribbed cuff. You were so easy to find and this is exactly what I needed.
Hi! I love this type of ribbing, though I have a question, I'm currently making a cardigan but I don't know how to continue the ribbing at the neck area, as in the corners, how do I continue? What should I do when a get to a corner?
@Designs by Phanessa yes, thank you 🩷 in the end, nobody said something different, so I continued the ribbing the same way as the sides. Thank you again, beautiful work
First off, I want to thank you for an amazing quality of video! You were zoomed in nicely so that we could see what you were doing - yay! Secondly, how do I join this as if making a cuff? Do I just slip-stitch it? Thank you for sharing this with all of us. This is the best video that I have found on this. Have a *BEAUTIFUL* day!
Hi there! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for the kind words! It makes me so happy! I have a tutorial on this cardigan where I join the ribbing in the cuff section. Check it out: ruclips.net/video/ynefObq1w6M/видео.html
I just found you.. I want to make my own crochet sweaters, shorts, swimsuits, summer top etc. But I just can't get it. Understanding now. Thank you for your time. Hugs..
Hello! Any tips for joining the ribbing once I've gone around a neckline? I made a boat neck pull over, but I am so cold!!! HAHAH, I want to do this ribbing for a mock neck, but would I just slip stitch it together once around and the ribbing meets at the back?
I work my brims (beanies) in the same way, so a lot of my beanie video tutorials on my channel will explain to you on how to join it. Here is one that I can think of that might help you. ruclips.net/video/UoLOfhbto6M/видео.htmlsi=hEDaEMm03hcgckpW
Hiya, thanks so much for your video, ive jst started a crochet pattern for a jumper. It's the first time I've ever seen an instruction to chain at the end of a row. So it said I've to chain 40 & then work 1 hdc in each stitch all the way back up. I wanted to ask you once I've worked these chains of 40, do you jst join it with the place I began the chaining?? It doesn't say on the pattern. Thanks for the video.
Yes, she was the first one I contacted, haven't heard from her yet. But I think I'll try your way of doing it. And see how it goes. Thanks so much for getting back to me.
I wish you would have shown how you work around the corners in this video. Perhaps you can do another video on joining the corners to the straight sides of the border. Thank you for the video. You make this look easy. God loves you. Jesus loves you and died for you. God bless you.
What do you mean around the corners? The full video for this cardigan will be available when the pattern is released. This was a quick video to show how you would add ribbing at the end of your project.
@@DesignsbyPhanessa I thought the ribbing was like a border that went around each side (top, bottom, left and right side) of the blanket. And I was wondering how you would join the top and bottom ribbing to each side of the ribbing. The ribbing would have to be joined at the corners of the blanket, and I was just wondering how to join the ribbing at the corners. God bless.
@@DesignsbyPhanessa oh. Ok. Well the reason I thought it went around the corners was because I had watched another crochet channel , and she did the same ribbing as you but I am pretty sure she put it around the entire blanket. But I like your video because you explain it in a way to where I can understand it. I always appreciate a video like yours because I am able to understand the explanation better than some other channels. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. God bless you.
Sorry about that. I only fade in and out in areas after I’ve shown what is needed. If you need the video to go slower you can use the speed feature on RUclips to slow it down. I do that when watching tutorials myself. Hope that helps!
Out of all the videos ive seen this is the clearest and right handed
Youve saved me from trial and error!
Glad it helped!!!
this looks like it will save me the struggle of figuring out how to distance the joins when i do the ribbing seperately
Yes! 🙌🏼 I used to attach until I figured this out!

I’m so happy it was helpful!
Very helpful video! I was searching everywhere for a no-sew way to add on ribbon and this did just the trick. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Thank-you 4 explaining the ims & outs.😮
Been watching videos on adding ribbing. So far best one I’ve seen!
Glad it was helpful! 🥰
I’m very new to crocheting and all the other videos I saw were how to to this but then build on so this was very helpful
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching! 🥰

I’m 12 and working on a granny square cardigan and ribbing has confused me because of the attachment some people use but this really helps thanks!
I’m so glad it was helpful! It took me some time to figure it out so i had to share it!
I wanna see it! What an ambitious project
That helped using the stitch marker..I was getting lost there a few times. This is a great tutorial, thank you.
Yeah, if you’re not used to it, stitch markers are your best friends! I remember my work full of markers! 😃
@@DesignsbyPhanessa Haha, sounds like me! I'm just finishing off a project and then itching to do this.
Totally agree! If I didn't use the stitch marker it would be a HOT MESS!
Thank you for the clear and precise instructions must say its the best video I have seen and using a stitch marker makes it a lot easier 😊
So glad! 😁
Thank you so much for this!!
You’re welcome!
Very nice clear tutorial, thank you.
You are welcome!
So So Beautiful and color's are amazing ♥️
Thank you! ❤️

You can place extra rows if that’s the style your looking for. Without being able to see it, it’s hard to say.

Thanks. I find ribbing confusing. This certainly helps
I’m glad it helped!

Love this
Thank you! So glad you do!
Anything special for going around corners? I’m using ribbing up sides and around neck of a sweater
I usually don’t do anything but you can place more rows at the corner?

I’m not sure as I don’t know exactly what you’re working on. Have you contacted the designer?
Yes, she was the first one I contacted, haven't heard from her yet. But I think I'll try your way of doing it. And see how it goes. Thanks so much for getting back to me.
Can I use this ribbing for the cuff of my granny square jersey?
Of course! If you don’t already have a flat edge to work from, I recommend crocheting 1 round of sc sts like I did first.
are you adding sc at the top of the row you are turning into?
I don’t quite understand the question

All the fade through of the video clips makes it hard to see what is happening here.
