USAT Fort Worth Junior Series Triathlon 4/14/2024

This was my first junior race and it went really well!
I want to mention that this race is 1 month(ish) after I came off of an emergency surgery for appendicitis. It actually started on my way to Clermont, the first race of the season, and we had to got to a hospital IN Florida. I had to be smart and not extend my recovery and then work really hard to be able to compete and race in Fort Worth, but I did it!
One last note, I did race in 2023, but I did not have a very good season. At both the Jenny Lee Cup and Flatlands I was in a bike crash caused by others in my group. I didn't let that stop me, and still finished both races, even qualifying in Jenny Lee despite the wreck. Unfortunately, I discovered that my bike frame had cracked after the crash at Flatlands. I was still able to race with a new bike at Nationals (thanks to a lot of support from friends, family, and teammates), but didn't have the best race because I was still dealing with a lot of nerves from the previous wrecks and, believe it or not, another one that happened directly in front of me during pre-race, for Nationals! The 2023 season left me pretty discouraged and I didn't feel like making the videos for that season, but I'm back and I'm not going to stop putting in the work.
