I got fired 3 weeks ago and I started selling off my personal collection. I’ve made 3150 on eBay! Let’s stay motivated thanks for the inspiration.

I got super lucky and bought an OG 1st ed charmander PSA 9 for about 30% less than market on auction on eBay somehow, super lucky, so it does happen sometimes. Love your channel and store my dude!

It’s funny you say that because that’s exactly what’s happening in the market right now. With the high amount of volume of graded transactions going on with slabs taking off in this bull market, people are flipping at huge profits in short amount of time. Congrats on the flip, that’s always a good feeling 👍

ive started this too, im only 14. I started with about 500 dollars, and now I have over 2500 value in around a month. 500 is liquid cash, and I have about another 2600 in value (counting as 2000 considering fees, ability to sell, etc.) I want to know how can I expand from here? My current operation is either buying local collections from people who no longer play and flipping in bulk at auctions, or looking at auctions ending soonest on ebay for snipes. I also look for grading plays to flip. What else can I do or do you recommend?

How do you set up your ebay auctions? Ever use a consignment service?

I have my first PSA order coming back to me soon, every intention to flip and not collect. In the event of less than 10's, what do you think works best to move them? Ungraded Market price? Market + grading fees? Or do you find auctions work best even if less than 10?
    Thanks for the videos! 😀

I personally, if I sent in anything to PSA, I would hold. I don’t send cards to PSA, with the intention to flip. Too many expenses, and extremely risky in terms of the gaps of PSA 8,9, and 10’s. I buy slabs off people at discounts and flip them for market price. That’s usually how I do it.
Thank you for the question! 🙏🏻👍

Where do you source the cards that you do eventually flip?

On the auction are you starting the bid at $1.00?

Here's what makes no Sense to me. At $120 valued card purchased at $90 and after ebay's fee at 15% your walking with $10. Now considering you have To pay taxes too because it's 1099 applicable, you now are below what you paid for it and in the negative. These are some of the things no one talks about. Food for thought

no offense man but this to me is just another Fear mongering comment that I get all the time, that has no base. I literally can make videos explaining and showing my profits (which I have) demonstrating the profitability, and people will legit still come up with reasons to not do this, which i honestly can care less. I don’t pay 15% on eBay. I pay 12% + shipping. I’m a Top rated seller. But let’s assume your example.
      $120 sold price.
$90 was the amount I bought it.
      120 x .15% = $102
Shipping will be $4.5 (EBAY GIVES YOU 30% DISCOUNTS ON USPS LABELS)
      $102-$4.5 =$97.50
Bubble mailer supply = .25 cents
      Final amount = 97.25
      97.25 - 90 =7.25 final net profit.
Now depending how much your total profit is in a 12 month calendar will determine which tax bracket you’re in. The IRS will never tax you more than 40% if you make a 500k-1mil + PROFIT. So I’ll take 40%. Just for shits and giggles.
      $7.25 x .4% = $4.25
So guess what? Taking extreme examples of eBay fees + extreme taxation. You’re still left with $4.25. What kind of math are you calculating where it’s negative? Comments like this just annoy me at this point & it’s absolutely wrong. Just don’t start a pokemon business then. Do something else if this ain’t for you 👍

@gempulls I let me first say I apologize if I came off rude. I'm glad you responded with very well explanation on profit and taxes. Don't get me wrong this model works and to offer productive criticism here, I'll say that my calculations were based on a regular seller (15% eBay fee and 15% on taxes) who isn't a top rated seller. The margin for profit are very tight but can work. Please don't think I'm just being negative. Just passing my experience too based on what I sell. I too make make profit but since I don't do it often I'm very picky on what I pick up and limit my spending on product to minimize potential loss.
