Hey I’m curious what strategy did you use to get that 30 dollar profit because I just started my business and I am making some videos and I’m curious how you got started
@Rips-and-Hits We spent $10 and picked up a bunch of singles at the card shop. We opened a whatnot, auctioned those off, got more singles, and repeated. Working on part 2 of the series now. We bought some packs, got a lucky pull, got some higher end singles, and are fast nickeling until we can start doing booster box rips.
@@sk8dudenana We buy regular because our shop usually runs deals on singles. I’ve grabbed a few slabs for around $5 each and plan to use those as future prizes.
1:40 TRADING UP 4:10 CARD SHOP ARBITRAGE 7:13 GRADING 11:17 DEAL HUNTING 15:37 B2B WHOLESALE These are the strategies that Brandon said in this video but i do reccomend to watch the entire video because it's very well made
As someone who started thier buisness at the start of the year and has been flying solo with only access to whatever scraps are left from my distributor after allocations, I don't think I've done too bad so far for someone I've only been able to moonlight work while keeping my regular job, sure I've only profited around 2.3k but it's a hell of a lot more than I thought I'd make in my first year. Hoping to be able to move more into grading cards in higher volume when I can build up more revenue to work with. Til then I'll keep on watching these type of vids for useful info and tidbits I can use in my own business, so thanks for the helpful content!
Beckett is apparently going through a lawsuit and CGC is known to not sell as well on market as PSA. I’ve never used TAG before but apparently they’re quite descriptive on their grading..
Love all of your channels and I am interested in the collectors capital membership. How do you guys accept payment for product and is it possible to see a spreadsheet with the prices before buying the membership?
Currently what the program does is connect you with partners of ours who wholesale different categories. So you get direct access to a really strong list of wholesalers across the market.
Please don't send anything into TAG if you want to stay in this hobby. This guy is selling you on buying grading from his partner for this video. You will lower the value of your cards by sending them into TAG.
Plus doesn’t say that the $2 you save per card with TAG doesn’t outweigh the price difference between a PSA slab selling. Save $2 buf lose 30% on the final sale price
Hey Brandon i tried to join the discord, and its way buggy on the website it wants you to verify your account? then when you do it says this link has expired and when it doesn't say that it says i don't have permission and now it says session timed out. Can i just get a server invite. i made my account through your link and verified thanks.
I have a few comments on this video. First of all selling on FB MP is NOT a viable option for flipping cards unless you got a really good deal on them. People on FB don't pay market price, you'll be lucky to get back what you paid. Grading cards may cost $15 per card but you forgot that membership fee that all the grading companies charge, so it cost a lot more than the price you paid for the card plus the grading fee. Besides those two points this was a very informative video.
I think taking advantage of somebody that doesn’t know the value of their cards to benefit you in a trade is way more scummy than scalping. It’s first come first serve gotta catch them all right the more you buy the better your chances are.
@@BrandonMartyn do know of any good websites that will show local card shows? The only card shows near me are sports cards with maybe 1-2 vendors selling Pokémon. Most of the bigger shows are 1000+ miles away from me so I can’t really go to those.
Ebay is not bad but you can't see the surface from photos, seller would have to disclose and they usually don't. But Pokemon doesn't have as many surface issues as glossy sports card.
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Something to note and I don’t know How it all works but when Looking at the Ungraded Current market price and Graded PSA 10 price for a card, Sometimes It can be a ridiculously Good price (especially if it’s not a More recent Card or one Made Years Ago) it can just be high due to someone listing it for a way higher price than normal for whatever reason and then a person actually buying it for that price. A good example of this is Xy evolutions Chansey Holographic. I was Looking at some XY Evo PSA 10 worthy Cards from my collection and Had A Raichu Holo, Poliwrath Holo, Chansey Holo, Charizard ex, Mewtwo ex and Dragonite Ex Full art gold. All that could get a PSA 10. As all my collection is from packs that I open Anyways. Chansey Holo PsA 10 right now is like $600 or higher. It’s been sitting at that for a few months. It had been $400 Something. However Chansey Holo psa 10s actually are rare and difficult to pull and get that score at least. But When looking at the TCG market ApP it will show How many sold that year as well and for what price. It’s under 4 I know that. Anyways.
Do you have any advice for a RUclips channel based on Pokemon cards? I’ve gotten a bunch of ETB’s and a couple boosters but if I ripped a couple every video I’ll be out LOL Basically Pokemon Card channel on a budget. Trying to keep some sealed as well haha

I love how you broke down the easiest methods for selling Pokémon cards! I always thought it had to be a huge investment, but this makes it seem more accessible. Have you tried any of these strategies yourself?
So a shop can sell me a card at market price but when I pull my card out it's 20%-50% off market price lmao got it!!! Something that never made sense to me.
You have to understand all the overhead that a local game store has: building rent, electric and plumbing bills, employees, product acquisition costs, and more. They have to factor all those costs into the price they pay for the product they acquire, and that's even before they can think about making a profit when selling that product. What you get by selling your stuff to them at their below-market price is a relationship with your local game store (which definitely has its perks), a customer that isn't going to try to scam you with some fake return or leave you some bad review just because they felt like it, and you also usually have the option of trading in your product for a higher amount of store credit if they have something you want.
@ and i dealt with this with sneaker world. Trust me i tell the sneaker stores am not lowering my price and you know what happening they buy it. Why they know i get the shoes and its legit. Same goes for pokemon. But i get your answer 💯 but sometimes to me its not cool. Cause what does me selling a card to you matter that you have overhead bills. Cause to me alot of stores beating people in the head.
I think there is one more method not discussed often which is selling weighed packs. Ethically I think it is okay as long as medium and light packs are not mis-advertised as "heavy" which I see a lot. It has been my best way to dramatically increase margins when selling on eBay. anything light-medium gets a below or at msrp price and the heavier packs I start a dollar or 2 above msrp and let the auction take care of the rest. I have sold plenty of 151 packs for over $20, Evolving Skies for close to $40 consistently with heavy packs. Surging sparks $15 high end, even several Brilliant Stars packs over $10. Obviously not every pack sells for those numbers those are just examples of the heavier pack sale prices

What company would y'all recommend for a first-time grader
@@Nastybeast710 im massively into ACE, their labels are sooo pretty.
PSA is only more common because they have more contracts with stores for easier access. Their grading is questionable lately

+1 on Grading being the best. It's fun, slabs are awesome, and there's plenty meat on the bone to make a profit once you learn what you're doing

Great stuff! Would love some tips on how to get a page/channel started the right way.
Forgets to say if you choose to grade with psa it’s 24.99 if you don’t have a membership and only 15 bucks if you grade 20 or more cards at a time lol
Plus doesn’t say that the $2 you save per card with TAG doesn’t outweigh the price difference between a PSA slab selling. Save $2 buf lose 30% on the final sale price
Where is the link to the video on what to look for before sending your cards to get graded
Thanks for what you do .. I have learned so much from you homie .. please keep it up !!!
Caveat on the grading section, you can still make profit below 9s/10s if it is vintage. Typically 7 is the lowest unless it's a very sought after card
wait till you find out about the weird boom of 1 collectors!
@Mudge_ I'm aware of them, I'm just not one of them lol
Do you consider grading cards is a bubble? What do you think of re-grading cards and getting different grades?
