2010 hot pursuit is one of the most underrated NFS games ever, the graphics are good even by today standards and sound design is amazing, using the turbo while driving the pagani zonda is probably the most satisfying thing in need for speed history😭

@@nounicorns1087because the game at launch was designed to be played online at all times, this is also where many of the complaints come from.
They eventually made an offline mode, but still had remnants of it's online mode, not being able to pause being one of them, they prolly just never coded the game to have one since it was planned to be online only anyways.

Rivals was amazing. Similar the HP2010. Less cars, but best looking modern NFS, smooth gameplay and good music, and good story theme. Yuri Lowenthal even voiced the trailer and apparently Ken Block too

NFS' 2003-2006 run may have firmly established the franchise as a juggernaut in the racing genre, but it came at the cost of it's original 1994-2002 games to get slept on.
That and it's hard to run them on modern PCs
well, this was the time when the consoles had a solid foothold in the gaming market, and the demand for PC Games and ports were pretty low.
so enabling them to run on more beefy hardware was an afterthought.

The input delay was too much, the cars were too unresponsive for city streets, the cars crashed too easily, there was no story and the progression was terrible and the mutiplayer was fun only while racing but races were 1 out of 6 events, among all the other things that i didnt mention.
