In this episde, Roeper and Phillips talk about the worst films of 2007.
The disdain in Michael's voice when he lists them off to end the show is hilarious.
I so miss Gene Siskel & Roger Elbert!
Lars and The Real Girl is actually a surprisingly touching, sweet, well written and acted film. It’s one of the best films of 2007.
"Bratz doll with the Bride of Chucky" omg they predicted M3gan
These worst episodes are always enjoyable
They sure are and Roeper and Phillips are hilarious with the remarks and the comments
Roger Ebert was great too.
When I did my Worst of 2020 list, I was accused of being negative, but you know what? I call it a purge
@@CJmovie92 That's because people are so sensitive now. If you don't like a movie you should be allowed to say that without people whining about it just because of how hard movies are to make.
@@Xayjohns you’re damn right.
The Number 23 was great.
It's weird that Hollywood was trying to make dane cook the next Jim Carrey. Even putting him in a Kevin Costner's movie. It didn't work.
Dane Cook is my favourite comedian. But what about Jim Carrey? He appeared in a few different genres
@@stefantomasi4036favourite comedian? Wtf
When I saw that there was a movie called Perfect Stranger coming out, I wondered who would be cast as Balki, then I realized I was an idiot for thinking that a tv show from the 1980s was going to receive a big-screen adaptation.
I wish they would reboot this show with roeper as the main host and either phillips or scott came come as the co-host or all three would be better!
Yeah. I would go for Phillips, but his cohost has to be fat.
They should!!!! I miss this show
@@quarantinebored1427 I miss it as well
roeper got in some trouble for plagiarism a few years ago and I think hes kinda done
@@steveb7932 what did he do wrong with plagiarism may I ask?
There will never be another Siskel & Ebert. Not one movie critic has ever even come close. No movie critic will ever be known more.
3:41. We’re never gonna see that pun again
Here is my list of the worst movies of 2007.
10). Georgia Rule
9). Epic Movie
8). Because I Said So
7). Bratz
6). License To Wed
5). Norbit
4). Daddy Day Camp
3). I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry
2). I Know Who Killed Me
The worst movie of 2007
1). Good Luck Chuck
Lars and the real girl is a decent movie and was oscar nominated for best screenplay, weird its even touching one of these lists
VERY weird
I think Ebert gave it 3/4 stars (borderline thumbs up). I’ve never seen it. I’m curious
this guys didn't deserve to be in the place of Siskel and Ebert
Roeper’s Worst Movies Ranked = 39%
1. I Know Who Killed Me 3/10
2. Bratz 2/10
3. Norbit 5/10
4. Southland Tales 4/10
5. Good Luck Chuck 5/10
6. License to Wed 2/10
7. The Reaping 2/10
8. Chuck and Larry 7/10
9. Rush Hour 3 3/10
10. Perfect Stranger 5.5/10
These guys really make me miss Siskel and Ebert. My goodness.
I know I saw "I Know Who Killed Me"...I just don't remember a single thing about it.
Lars and the real girl was an excellent comedy drama.
The first thing I thought. This is what we ask for when we say we want on ORIGINAL idea.
@@Laceykat66 yes!
The Rock played a pimp? I just learned something today.
I discovered that thru the trailer of Southland Tales
Michael was really ahead of the curve with his Dane Cook hate. Why *was* he so popular?
I think his popularity had something to do with him being The Kid From the Gutter Who Is on His Way Up. People were rooting for him to get better and succeed. He had potential. But it just didn't happen for him and it was too bad. He could come back, though. I don't count anybody out in this crazy culture.
Okay _Shoot ‘Em Up_ wasn’t a great movie but it was _fun_ and it certainly didn’t deserve to be featured on any worst of list lol.
It wasn't great but it was a decent action movie
I honestly loved it
@@cablehogue599 it was like the parenthood version of Smokin’ Aces.
At least Ocean’s 13 was better than Ocean’s 12. 12 was horrible.
I feel like the last scene of Ocean's 12 sums up what it might have been like to make that movie. Like the cast had way more fun making it than people had actually watching it. I think I thought it was all right when I first saw it, but now I don't like it that much.
@@Xayjohns I like the first Ocean’s Eleven the best! One of my favourite heist movies. George Clooney and Brad Pitt stole the show!
@@stefantomasi4036 Yes, 11 was really good.
ayyyyy there we go!! 😄 nice choice
I agree 💯💯💯
My worst movies 2007
Redline
Spider-Man 3
Wild Hogs
Norbit
Daddy Day Camp
Rush Hour 3
Underdog
Epic Movie
Number 23
Revolver
Bratz
The Game Plan
Delta Force
I think I Love My Wife
Awake
Lions & Lambs
Are We Done Yet?
Premonition
Shoot’em Up was better stupid fun than most stupid Hollywood no brainers
Mandy Moore would be the voice of Rapunzel in Tangled.
Tangled premiered American Thanksgiving of 2010. That Disney princess movie came out 3 years before the devoted Frozen
I Know Who Killed Me was definetly the Worst, but I can't say the same for Hostel Part 2.
I Know Who Killed Me is the worst along with The Reaping. The Number 23 is good and it had some vibes of a David Fincher movie like Fight Club, Se7en or The Game
I think they just didn't get Shoot 'Em Up. Movie is hilarious
It's a live action Bugs Bunny & Elmer Fudd movie, it's awesome.
@@dannycarrington1601 it’s also like a slapstick Looney Tunes episode meshed with underworld crime movies such as Running Scared with Paul Walker and Hitman
@@stefantomasi4036 Running Scared is an excellent, underrated film.
@@dannycarrington1601 it is but so hyperkinetic, violent and profane like Alpha Dog and Domino with Keira Knightley. A movie that I find infrequently hyperkinetic is A History of Violence. It still has violence but it didn’t have a frequent amount of vulgar language like 100-200 f-bombs. It only had 10-15.
I liked Shoot em up.
I loved it. It's a lot of fun
I loved it. That movie is so underrated. I would have loved to see Roger defend it on the show. He gave it 3 1/2 stars out of 4.
It’s like Smokin’ Aces which came out in January 2007. It’s with Jeremy Piven as the title character, Peter Berg, Jason Bateman, Ben Affleck and Common.
Huh, those are some weird words Pronouncing Shrek the third.
If Robin Williams is in a breathtaking number of really lousy movies it’s likely because he starred in an absurd number of movies. Why?
IMO, Robin Williams’ underrated or good movies are RV, Noel with Paul Walker, Hook, Dead Poets Society, Bicentennial Man, The Fisher King and The Birdcage. His worst include Jack, Fathers Day, Old Dogs and this one featured in this episode; License to Wed.
I actually want to try some Jim Carry thrillers looks different
The Number 23 is one awesome movie
Best worst movie highlights of this segment - 0:42, 1:43, 3:40, 4:12, 6:32, 9:22, 10:31, 12:55 & 15:18
Man, I really liked Oceans 13 and Lars & the Real Girl. I guess this guy and I won't be going to the movies together
If you want people's opinions on movies, then ask film Buffs's their opinions and ask for their movie recommendations, not these paid film critics who only care about getting a paycheck and spread hatred for movies that are actually good, paid movie critics aren't open minded. (Written: Bailey Giannini, Film Buff & Horror Fan)
This really shows how spoiled we were
My absolute hated movie of 2007 is Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem.
Oceans 13 - What a t*rd?
Dane Cook is ok as a stand-up but as an actor he has all the charisma of a tree stump.
I agree with you
Lol! "Mmmm hmmm hmmm..no ba-con on the sa-lad!"
@@imarriedabrkfsttaco3737 yes I remember that from Waiting… with Ryan Reynolds, Anna Faris and Justin along
I thought he was not too bad in Mr. Brooks, though. His character Baffert is so out of his depth in that story, yet so cocky. And he's a douchebag. We just know something bad is going to happen to him, and we're neither too troubled nor surprised when it does. We shake our heads at how he could've been so stupid. I thought Dane played that character, not necessarily brilliantly, but effectively. He hits all the beats.
Cmonn the number 23 was cool lol
Yes it was! The Number 23 is a half decent thriller. Skip I Know Who Killed Me with Lindsay Lohan. That one is terrible
They should've just kept the show like this, but no......
My favourite funny moments of this worst movies segment - 0:53, 3:41, 6:38, 8:59, 10:48, 15:10 and 15:34
LOL MANDY WATCH
@@DamienBarriga 😂😂😂 I prefer Because I Said So over License to Wed and Southland Tales
I guess I liked the number 23 better than most. it kept my interest and I was concerned for the main characters.
Wild Hogs was just lazy trash.
Hostel and Hostel Part 2 are amazing horror movies, these paid film critics were just talking to get a bunch of views and to get a big fat paycheck. As a huge film buff my advice to anyone who watches This video on RUclips is To disregard everything these two are saying about these movies.
Michael's #5, #6, #7 are missing !
Phillips’ Worst Movies Ranked = 53%
1. Hostel Part II 2/10
2. Shoot ‘Em Up 7/10
3. Bratz 2/10
4. Good Luck Chuck 5/10
5. The Heartbreak Kid 4.5/10
6. Because I Said So 8.5/10
7. Lars and the Real Girl 3/10
8. Wild Hogs 8/10
9. The Number 23 7/10
10. Ocean’s Thirteen 5.5/10
Was shoot em up really that bad? Especially compared to crap like good luck Chuck?
@@cablehogue599 Good Luck Chuck is horrible. I prefer the love guru
@@stefantomasi4036 Why do you prefer the love guru when the 2008 film is added on the worst movies of 2008?
@@archivingtime I’m just saying that i think that it’s a better Jessica Alba movie than Good Luck Chuck
I'm sorry folks but The Number 23 was a good movie. As stupid as it was I was really into it.
I loved Southland Tales. I don't care if I'm the only one.
You aren't the only one but you probably should be cause it's a mess
I think it's one of those films that had the potential to be great. Maybe someone with a bit of discipline could edit the film in something coherent.
Where's Ebert?
By this time he'd had surgery that removed his lower jaw. He never came back to the program.
Roger passed away on April 4, 2013 after Ebert was diagnosed with cancer of the thyroid and salivary glands in 2002. He required treatment that included removing a section of his lower jaw in 2006, leaving him severely disfigured and unable to speak or eat normally. However, his ability to write remained unimpaired and he continued to publish frequently online and in print until his death on April 4, 2013.
@@gspendlove It very sad that he's not coming back.
@@shermanshecapio3944 Roger Ebert left the show summer of 2006
I liked perfect stranger
It was more half decent compared to Basic Instinct sequel
I admit, I liked I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry & Bratz.
My worst movies of 2007 are Rush Hour 3, License to Wed and I Know Who Killed Me which are the worst summer of 2007 movies. Also, Southland Tales and Lars and the Real Girl. For better summer movies, I prefer Hairspray, Underdog, Ratatouille, Live Free or Die Hard and The Simpsons Movie
Love Live Free Or Die Hard. I'm a die hard fan of the Die Hard franchise (pardon the pun). And it felt so good to see Bruce come back and play John McClane again. I would've watched Willis as McClane going to the store to buy groceries, that's how much I loved him.
Some notable omissions:
The Invisible (teenage version of Ghost)
Evan Almighty
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Dead Silence
The Simpsons Movie (sorry. I just didn't care for this one)
Balls of Fury
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
Alvin and the Chipmunks
Epic Movie
Good choices. ESP, Dead Silence
I liked Norbit, stupid but funny. Wouldn't have paid to see it, but will watch it on TV
Don't care what anybody says. Heartbreak Kid is hilarious.
Did you watch the 1972 original?
Rush hour 3 was hilarious
Oh they absolutely wrong about Rush Hour 3 Rush Hour hilarious
Seriously these two are really annoying
you.know.if.it.funny.if spider man 3 on.that.list.that's.one.of.the/most.disappointing.
Such a surprise that Spider-Man 3 is not on the worst list here
@@stefantomasi4036 i.only.loved.first.two,sam.raimi.spiderman.movies
It's one of the most disappointing films, but it wasn't terrible. If Raimi had enough prep time, it would have been a much better film. Amazing Spider-man 2 and Far From Home were worse Spider-man films.
@@Paulafan5 I get your difference between terrible and disappointing. Spider-Man 3 isn’t a bad sequel. It’s more of a fair sequel that could’ve been better. There are a lot more bad sequels like The Rage Carrie 2, Dumb and Dumber To, Hoodwinked Two and others. Those are my top 3 worst sequels
