Nice James!
God bless you and your family and listen to Brooks and Dunn
Thirteen years for me
Brooks and Dunn's first number one hit in 1991! Who's still listening 30 years later?
Yep. This was their lead off single from their Brand New Man Album released in June of 1991. It hit number 1 in October of that year. The song peaked at number 34 for the '91 country music survey year
John Hoover Other singles from Brand New Man were My Next Broken Heart, Neon Moon (my all-time favourite B&D song!), Boot Scootin' Boogie and Lost and Found. It's my favourite album overall!

I miss this kind of country. This was the country that played when I grew up.
***** Yeah, I mean I live in the country music capital pretty much. It's still around, but it's just not quite the same as it used to be. Or at least you can't find the same frequency of good artists. Used to be like every song on a country station was good, now it's like half. I just can't agree that it has the same feeling it did back then. Quite a bit of what is out there now is from artists who are kinda gimmicky and fake. Like you wouldn't think they actually live that life or that they are just trying to make some money off the image of country. Just not convincing or they are being superficial. And as someone from Nashville, I've actually seen the scene evolve over the years. You can definitely find the good stuff here in Nashville, but you can also find great examples of how things have changed. Country music used to be way more popular.
Me to bro.
Oh watch out lady, i am a brand new man and im harder than the og old me and sweeter than a bumble bee. Look out your gonna love me, watch yo self, you gon slip and fall in love.
im 16 not all the country music playing now is bad but i was raised on brooks and dun george strait conway twittt.....
Ronnie Dunn is the best male country music singer that's ever been.
this is real country ❤❤
As opposed to country today, obviously. Are you like a modern country music advocate or something? Someone who goes around telling everyone that country music is the same that they,"Just have to look."? It's really not the same, Britt. I know that's hard to grasp, but it's true. I cannot turn the radio on today and say that I'm enjoying a lot of the songs. But back then it really was like every song on a country station was good...that is definitely not the case today.
This is my favorite childhood song.

137 PEOPLE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES, how dare you thumbs down this song.
Thats because they consider country music to be people like Luke Bryan, Taylor swift, band perry. These new people are not country. There playing pop on country stations ...
No 731 idiots
Because that's how they feel. But, not me. I love this!!

They hate the fact that their music from today can't hold a candle to this music
Even among Brooks and Dunn's impressive repertoire, this song is exceptionally good. Definitely one of their masterpieces.
This is a great song
I'm not a country music expert but this is so much more inspiring than the pop that passes for country nowdays.
absolutely!
Preach it!!
Luke combs cover is pretty rad
@@michaelvieregge2257 I've heard that cover a couple times before, and I agree. It's great!

Metallica is not extreme at all lmao it's basically pop music.

One of their very best songs. Country at its best, and still one of the best more than 30 years later.
This song reminds me of working at the local grocery store in high school. These guys, Garth, Reba, and Alan Jackson.
Brooks and dunn, are so much better then " Luke Bryan"
Ricky Michael Luke Combs is good singing this songs tho

I saw the light
I've been baptized
By the fire in your touch
And the flame in your eyes
I'm born to love again
I'm a brand new man
Well the whole town's talking
'Bout the line I'm walking
That leads right to your door
Oh how I used to roam
I was a rolling stone
I used to have a wild side
They say a country-mile-wide
I'd burn those beer joints down
That's all changed now
You turned my life around
Whoa, I saw the light
I've been baptized
By the fire in your touch
And the flame in your eyes
I'm born to love again
I'm a brand new man
I used to love 'em and leave 'em
Whoa, I'd brag about my freedom
How no one could tie me down
Then I met you
Now my heart beats true
Baby you and me together
Feels more like forever
Than anything I've ever known
We're right on track
I ain't looking back
I saw the light
I've been baptized
By the fire in your touch
And the flame in your eyes
I'm born to love again
I'm a brand new man
I saw the light
I've been baptized
By the fire in your touch
And the flame in your eyes
I'm born to love again
I'm a brand new man, yeah
I saw the light
I've been baptized
By the fire in your touch
And the flame in your eyes
I'm born to love again
I'm a brand new man

This video should have like 50 Million plus views.
I was thinking the same thing, but I guess since it came out in 1991 in which was 25 years ago & the song was uploaded 7 years back, I guess it definitely will tend to lack views because the song is real old & doesn't get that much exposure & no one is promoting & advertising it. The song deserves a lot more views & hell of a lot of more credit then it gets. This was one of my childhood songs that I listened to in the car when I spent time with my Dad. I cherish those memories & every time, the song starts. I get chills & they run down my arms & back & finally my entire body because Brooks & Dunn put such good music to this wonderful song, words can't describe how much I like it. You couldn't ask for better country music then this song right here!
Long Live Brooks & Dunn! ;)
Ice Cycle 7 years ago, when it was uploaded, the typical music video oly got a few million views anyway.
Who's still watching in 2019!?!? I love the older country music!

MARIZ PC i wish country music in our country is popular. Sad it is not.
Of course Instead of promoting other countries songs in our own country why not OPM? well I'm not saying I'm a hater, actually I'm a big fan of many country artists and country songs as well. I was started listening since 2000 and I'm not aware of what I'm listening to that time because I'm too young to understand such things. My dad was listening to george straight, alabama and so much more during his old days, he influenced me to it until now I'm still a fan of old and new country artists though I didn't born in '80's lol. After my father died last 2002 my mom kept his old cassette tapes in boxes, so every time I missed my dad I put e'm all out of the boxes looking for good songs in there, list them all in my notepad and search and play 'em in youtube. :D
Aaron Pampag im so sorry for your father, yeah i understand about that OPM but I'm telling that I'm hoping that the country genre not just foreign artists, coz we all know that PH prefer mellow sounds etc. and least on county genre.
@@BTLLGR PH needs more country music, country country Taylor Swift was the last country singer that every Filipino love
I remember riding in the front seat of my dad's old classic car blasting their old songs as we drove down the road.
I remember jamming to my moms greatest hits CD of theirs...ahh I miss those days
Wow, I love this song! And the whole album.
I remember when it first came out in 1991.
Takes me back!
That was an awesome era of Country Music.
So glad I got to live it in my early twenties.
I was 11 when this came out my favorite
The only sad part about the 90s is that we all took this kind of music for granted and thought it would last forever. God please take me back to the 90s and I won’t ask for anything ever again.
Im gonna say this I’ve grown up my entire life in northern Florida I’ve been surrounded by country and I’ve hated it! But now I’ve started to look back on the artists that truly defined the genre. And I’ve always come back to this song it’s perfect even when it’s not playing I’ll just find myself singing it to myself randomly. I am by no means a 80s kid I was born in 2004 but this song is incredible and should be crowned as not a country song but a great country song!
There will never be another pair like them.
Riff raff brought me here

I understand your pain. I’m 35. Music was the best back when we were younger. I don’t even understand all this new “music”. Makes me so mad! lol. I am stuck in the 90’s until I die.

It premiered on CMT on June 14, 1991, when CMT named it a "Pick Hit". The video features the duo performing at a concert, as well as singing and playing guitar in a desert.🙂
