It is absolutely bonkers that B&D has always sounded exactly the same from radio to concert. This song came out 28 years ago almost to the day.

Absolutely. I saw them in middle school in the early 90’s. Took my kids to see them 30 years later in 2023. I was amazed at how good they still sounded and what a good show it was despite them being late 60’s early 70’s. Truly talented guys.

Luke’s gritty vocals really add a flair to an already incredible song. That grit with Ronnie’s silky smooth voice makes an excellent combo.
And that Ladies and Gentlemen is why the '90's will always be the GREATEST DECADE in country music.
No it won't. Luke has a good voice just like millions of people that can sing. But maybe when you have the opportunity to be on stage with some of countries great singers and song writers it's time to put down the beer and the R-Neck persona wake and smell the roses not pig slop in a pen. just saying.

Luke’s voice is so strong it overpowers Ronnie’s. I haven’t seen or heard anyone who can do that in a long time. That’s a damn strong voice he’s got.
Say what? Ronnie's voice is clearly more powerful than Luke's. Don't mistake his mic being turned up in the mix more for his actual voice being more powerful...it's not close.

A crutch doesn’t mean what’s in the cup. He is probably using it because he’s always use to playing guitar on all his songs. Now that he has a full band his company wants him to front the band and he probably makes weird motions with his hands because he’s not used to having them free. The crutch means the cup is being used to keep his hands occupied. He can keep the cup behind him on the drum riser and take a sip in between songs just as well. I agree with Justing that it’s a crutch. Hopefully it goes away soon, as he did not have it at CMA Fest when he did beer never broke my heart.
