Saw Mr Keith once on deployment in Iraq, 2 years later got to meet and see him again in Afghanistan and just to talk without a camera or microphone around was truly a once in a lifetime experience. I thank Mr Keith for devoting his time to me and my fellow service members

Some may complain that this sounded nothing like Toby, but it's not supposed to. Toby was a one of kind country artist and certainly a tough act to follow for anyone trying to do their own version of his songs. Jason used his own styling here and it seems he purposely toned it down from an upbeat song to somewhat of a sad song. But very appropriate since it was after all a tribute to a legend in country music who's life was tragically cut short. Toby will be missed. Hard to believe he's not with us anymore.

This was a tribute truly fitting for Toby. Jason took his song and made it his own, didn’t try to sound like Toby but put a spin on it musically as well as how he performed it. All the life size pictures of Toby through out his career, ending with one of Toby and Tricia as well as Toby and all of his family said all that needed to be said. I cried the entire time, especially seeing the genuine tears from his children and Tricia. If it didn’t touch anyone else, it touched their hearts and that is what counts. Loved how he simply said..love you Toby as he came to a close. Thank you Jason, for helping to soothe our hearts during such a difficult time. Toby I am certain was well pleased and honored.

An excellent tribute to the late great Toby Keith. Aldeans performance was carefully thought out from wearing all Black to slowing the song down truly capturing the moment from what was the best Toby Keith Song. It was perfect.

That was a lovely tribute to Toby Keith. Sadly, my family knows what the Keith family is going through. My father died of stomach cancer 14 years ago. Sadly, though it is a rare cancer, it is a very aggressive cancer. My dad found out Oct 31st, and he passed January 8th. Because stomach cancer is so rare in the US, it's not one that's actually on the radar for testing. At least at that time. I think it's wonderful that his family got the time they had with him. And of course, he lives on through his music!
I’m so sorry for your loss. A friend of mine was just diagnosed 4-5 weeks ago. Unfortunately, it’s stage 4 and has already spread to her spine. They haven’t officially said it is terminal, but I don’t think the prognosis is good. She is only 42 and was in amazing health. She was very active and had a very healthy diet. It’s a cruel disease.

@codreaming9304 If your friend has kids and you're able, put yourself in the rotation to help them keep things as "normal" as possible, in this very not normal time. When we went through our hospital care time with my dad, I literally went to work, to the hospital then home. Repeat. This was all during the holidays. My son, who was in 5th grade at the time, one week before Christmas, pulled the Christmas lights out and taped them to the wall. He wasn't able to go see his "pops" in the hospital because it was also flu season and kids under 18 couldn't go to the cancer floor, so he didn't fully understand what was happening. We put a Christmas tree up a few days before Christmas. His friends were talking about Christmas and it really wasn't even a thought for me.
Tobie is a very old friend from way before he was discovered. Playing in a small nightclub and loving every minute of it. I still live up the road and I can tell you that with Tobie what you seen is what you got!! R.I.P. My friend 🧡

I loved to hear Toby Keith singing, he kept it real. He did a great job at Trump's inauguration, he was a true patriot. I'm glad that they chose Jason Aldean to do this tribute. Aldean is my favorite singer. It would have been great if they did something together before he passed. That would have been awesome also. R.I.P.

Never missed anyone! I am totally heartbroken he passed.on, But I have all of his music to keep his memory alive😊 Thank you for so many years of greatness to the great state of Maine and beyond!
