This is my late husband! ❤ He worked all overtime and holidays to take care of his family. He could do anything he put his mind and hands to, with God's help! He was a mechanic, carpenter, electrician, excellent cook, wonderful Dad, and loving, sweet husband! This month on the 20th, he has been asleep in Jesus for 4 years. Miss him 😢 dearly. Hope to be reunited with him when Jesus returns One Wonderful Day!!! 🙏✝️💝🌹
I always said this to my husband. Despite all he went through. This is his song. He went through kidney failure, transplant, cancer. And he still worked . Noone was more of a hardworking man. Salute to my husband. He went through alot and he was still able to work. Booyaa!!
My favorite line is “I’m burning my candle at both ends.” Always reminds me when I had to climb around in the combine because I was the youngest, ripped my jeans cause I was inside the walkers, and had just got done painting a truck right before. Had a sore throat for about 4 weeks cause those walkers were never cleaned. Was an old John Deere 6620
@THINK DRAGON 😅🤣 yeahhh pretty much ahah before I got my foot in the door with highway construction part of a culvert crew.. then onto a RockTruck driver at a GoldMine 🤙🏼
This song always reminds me of my Daddy. He was a proud iron worker. He loved his job, his family and was ALWAYS the life of the party! Cancer stole him away when he was just 46 but when I hear this song I remember all the camping trips and tubing down the river we did. He may be gone but never ever forgotten.
My husband, his Dad, and his father before them, to the letter. Up before dawn every day, backbreaking years of hard work. His Dad's passed now, God Rest his weary soul now, well earned Dad! Much Love and Respect They All Helped To Build This Country, Not to Tear it Down🇺🇲✌️🕊️

I know you’re not old enough to remember 90’s country, but these guys were (and still are) the absolute best. You don’t even have to like country music in general to appreciate these two. I’m thankful to be from a flyover state and these guys are one of the reasons .
I remember when I was doing guitar lessons I had a student want me to teach him this song - that was way back in 1993. Great song and still sounds like a hit today!
My dad is in the same. Work his you know what off. For us 6 kids holding down 3 jobs and working weekends as well. They sure don’t make them like that anymore. RIP dad we’ll see you later. Please rest you deserve it.😢Miss you so much.
Ever since these guys started out out, I have always been a big fan and forever always will be. I thank B&D for putting out the albums they had during 1990's. Those were some of the best years of my life being at the beach in charleston,SC just listening to your albums. Thank you B&D!!!
My brother in law died on Memorial day of 2010....the funeral, as you can imagine, was very sad as his death was unexpected. They played all the usual sad songs and had everyone sobbing when they played I'll Fly Away by Jars of Clay. When it was time for everyone to go up and say goodbye for that last time they played this song. It's SO my brother in law and everyone had a smile on their face.
