Thank you so much for your video. I thought I had to go to the dealer to do it. I like your video, succinct and direct with a pleasant voice. Thank you again!
Wow, the Ralph Report podcast made me find this simple battery replacement method after standup comedian Eddie Pence told his horror story of paying $150.00 for a key fob that lasted a month, thanks for the video!
Thank you for this video. It was extremely helpful. I was concerned that when I removed the old battery that the FOB would lose it's programming but you didn't mention that so I'm going to assume removing the battery does not affect the programming of the FOB
Thank you perfect video. Dash board was coming up with change battery soon and I’m like how much is the dealer gonna charge for this…now only a few dollars because of you!
Thanks! Nice to know how to get it apart but even nicer to know I need to have a CR2032 handy when I get it apart. Some Ford fobs use 2025 and others 2450. Glad this one is 2032 because most everything else I have uses 2032 so I have a few on hand.
Good video, helped me get my new battery in, but then the fob didn't work!! Took it back out, put the old one back in that "sometimes" worked, and it worked!! Took the old one back out and put the new one back in, nothing!! Confusion starts to settle in...... Long story short, the new battery is 4 thousandths of an inch smaller in diameter than the factory Panasonic. That's 0.004" or roughly 2 human hairs. So if this happens to you, just use a small instrument to slightly bend the two side tabs inwards, be careful, they seem delicate.
The engineer who designed this should be fired. What a design disaster. Hmmm, use an AA or AAA battery with a screw cap. Unscrew cap. Remove battery. Insert battery. Screw cap on. Done. I'll never buy anything with this kind of fob.
Thank you so much for your video.

For some reason the new battery is also not working. Is their a specific kind of battery or a different way to install
it needs to be CR2032 size but not a specific brand
That helped thanks
You're Welcome!
Thanks
You're Welcome!
Same battery fits my 14 sienna
Thanks for the info
You're Welcome!
Went out to buy batteries. Spent $10 for 4. Only to find out that my 2015 King Ranch takes 2035 batteries
I did this and it still doesn’t lock or unlock
Here's to you...
My 2020 F150 is not that battery. CR2450
not a 2021 key fob
This FOB is not for the 2015 F-150
Yes - its for the F150's that do not have a push button start ignition
It's the exact same one for my 2015 F-150.
Sorry, but my 2019 FOB looks nothing like that.😢
NOT A 1917 F150 fob
I don’t think there even were key fobs back there lol
Damn why so slow.
The engineer who designed this should be fired. What a design disaster. Hmmm, use an AA or AAA battery with a screw cap. Unscrew cap. Remove battery. Insert battery. Screw cap on. Done. I'll never buy anything with this kind of fob.
It takes less than a minute to replace these. Give it a shot
Thanks, Thanks, thanks❤
