I’m 70 years young and a music fan since I can remember. This is a very good band. Incredible live. Songs that say something.

I´m mostly into metal but this is one of the best indie rock bands ever. They were kind huge a few years ago. Their sound is very powerfull, not in a hard or heavy way (obviously) but in the atmosphere they create. Really good music. They have amazing songs, this one is good but for me they have so much better, still a great song and performance thought. Props to the person that requested it.

Arcade Fire is a great Canadian band. Millions of fans all over the world. Lots to listen too from them if you are so inclined.

yeah this performance is fucking amazing. i believe it's about how the church "preyed" upon soldiers returning from war looking for help, but they just used them to get their money.

I always took the “soldier” bit as more metaphorical. Someone utterly enslaved by the dogma their church beat into him. He is a soldier FOR them, but they only reward him by asking him to let everything else in his life waste away.

You should watch Wake Up, No Cars Go,, power out or Keep The Car running from the same show. They are on of the best live bands i ever saw. Intervention is from the Neon Bible album, they had a full pipe organ onstage on that tour.

I think you got the meaning towards the end. The soldier, to me at least, is indeed a metaphor. He ‘soldiers’ to his own detriment for a greedy clergy that holds their twisted idea of higher power over his head, which hypocritically basically spits in the face of everything the Faith is meant to stand for.

This song can be interpreted a million different ways, and it means something different to everyone. I know what it means to me, and it helps me cope with some very real misgivings I have about powerful, organized religion and what it does to people. It gives me hope that even the faithful can see that forcing people to believe will only grant you enemies.

Arcade fire is one of, if not the best bands of the 21st century in my opinion. You must listen to their discography if you love music and want to hear the best modern band

Quite liked that. Haven't heard them before. Parts of it, I was getting Neil Young vibes.
    Good one Lee 👍🏻👍🏻

Their first Glastonbury show or their first appearance on Austin City Limits are the best place to see them.

For more great Canadian Indie music, check out Broken Social Scene. Arcade Fire is from Montreal and Broken Social Scene is from Toronto. No one has a reaction video for them and I would love to see that happen. I would recommend anything from the album "You Forget it in People" or the song 7/4 Shoreline

Good one but the interrupting isn't really great it's like cutting a knife through my heart when you pause it during the climax. why not react in 1 go and then analyze the lyrics
