Something else no one is talking about is hypersmooth stabilization in the gopro is only 2-axis. When you rotate, so does the horizon which the gimbal can still maintain. Very important for moving and sideways shots.
Maintaining horizon is precisely why I found myself googling again for these type of gimbals! It seems no one is making updated versions of these anymore.
I have this gimbal and I like it. I bought it for MTB with my Hero4. I now use it with my Osmo Action 4 (17g counterweight makes it good). Thanks for the much needed WG2X refresher!
Hi! I got the WG2X in a sale. Now need to get a cam for it! Does it fit the Action 4 with the existing mount that comes with it? The latest go pro that works with it is the 8!
Hi, Yes the Osmo Action 4 fit's just fine with the included hardware. A coin or a large washer attached with sticky tape will be needed to to achieve the desired balance.@@andrewnorris5415
Thank you for such a cool video. May I ask how you recorded the GoPro footage in this video? Auto or using log profiles and then color correcting it? Such beautiful images that you captured and shared with us. Thank you and have a great year!
Can you use this on a neck mount?? Specifically the Telesin? The chest mount will shoot to low for me. I need either head mount of neck mount to capture the land scapes and also videoing general walking through London, Paris and Italy. I don't want a head mount because of how heavy it is
@Gemini_Connect Thank you. I might wait for the GoPro 12 to be released hopefully september 2023. I'm hoping the stabilisation on the new gopro will be enough to wear on a neck mount without noticeable up and down movement from walking.
If you take a Dremel and a bit of your time you can make the gimbal work with the Hero9. I did the same thing to my WG2X and i just had to add 20g of the sticky balancing weights to make it neutrally balanced.
I see some other videos and also pictures on Amazon that the GoPro 8 is mounted but the power button isn’t being blocked…could it be mounted reversed so the power button isn’t blocked?
Hello, Thx for the video.I have this Gimbal and also Inkee Falcon Plus (because i was upset, that FeiyuTech doesn't support GoPro Hero10). But later, i've spotted, that FeiyuTech company provide Adapter for GoPro Hero 10 of this Gimbal. Costs 10$. I've bought it immediately. but.. still it will not work with MediaMod of GoPro Hero 10. So now i'm using Inkee Falcon Plus for GoPro Hero 10 + MediaMod.. and for GoPro Hero 8 -> FeiyuTech WG2X. And you know what... yes.. if you are using ND filters and when you are walking too fast, there will be some.. umm.. fast movements in the footage... but there will be no any extra motion blur, that happens with Inkee Falcon. I'm not talking about Jello effect.. but an Extra Motion Blur. Using Inkee Falcon Plus gimbal i always see some motion blur on EVERY texture... with FeiyuTech WG2X - everything is fine.. and yes... those shakiness, because it weared on my chest and usually i;m walkig too fast.. and btw.. there were no such issues in Winter time.. when i wear warm clothes :) so i think this "issue" might be fixed once i've tight the Chest mount:)
would have been interesting to see how well it worked with the audio adapter and microphone "connected". My experience of GP7 and gimbel, acoustically, are not positive. Thanks anyway
Hi there. Great informative video review you've made here. Like yourself, I bought one because it was wear'able. Unfortunately for me I think I might have broken mine. How? In order to work around the problem where the power button is blocked, I would. . at mine in... upside down if I remember correctly? And then used the feiyuOn app (remote control the gimbal) and use the rotate function in the app to slip it round 180°. This is all from memory as it broke about 6 months ago and I got really upset with myself. So much so that I never got around to returning it. Apparently though, the place I bought it from in the UK has a 3 year warranty return possibility so I think I'm ok. But yeah, I would only recommend doing what i did as a workaround. Because I think flipping it around, changed the weight/centre balance and put strain on one of the motors. Eventually I think the motor gave up and was pushed to hard and just been failing . Eventually I would power the gimbal on and it would immediately shut itself down. It's quite depressing to be honest. I also found the mini screws applicable very fiddly. It felt like a product that tried hard and got many things right, but also some key things not thought out very well? Really like your idea of mounting a tripod to it for manual handling though. I didn't think of that.
HI! how do you attach to a normal go pro mount ? I have the Seeker BAckpack from GOPRo which comes with a GoPRo mount on one of the shoulder strap. I just dont understand how I would go about attaching this device to it ?
It is a little confusing. You would need a GoPro mount adapter that has a 1/4 inch tripod screw on the bottom - www.amazon.com/dp/B08CHFT6LT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_8K3XZ99A9BMC34WJQBJ0
Can you please explain how you set the gimbal on the chest mount?I have a chest mount from another brand, but I want to make sure before I purchase this gimbal. :) Pleaze
I'm just stopping by for this one review, but I just wanted to say you are very likable. I just wanted to encourage to keep going IF this is bringing value to your life. You have "it".
Will this wearable gimbal (or any wearable gimbal for that matter) help if i mount it to my chest while running? Capturing video with chest mount with regular iPhone or my GoPro renders far too shaky of a video
Hi Gemini!! I was looking around for something like this for the hero 9 atleast for a backpack mount stabilizer. most especially when walking in trails. its nice to have it hands free.
It's cool, but why would you want a gimbal when the GoPro has an awesome in-body stabilisation already? And it's not really practical when you're caught in the rain on a hiking trip. So yeah, thanks for this review, but I'll pass hehe
If you have an older GoPro without Hypersmooth or a Hero 7 where the Hypersmooth wasn't as good yet. Gimbals are also helpful for motion timelapses, cinematic shooting, and shooting in low light. More reasons here - ruclips.net/video/roBVJoSowVc/видео.html
The GoPro “Chesty” doesn’t hold a GoPro camera on a Gimbal steady enough! Even when you demonstrated it on your vlog - it was bouncing around; AND you were seated!!! You need something like a “Roost Guard” and modify it to accept the gimbal!
Like I mentioned in the video, the way a person walks also affects the gimbal stability. But yes, my biggest gripe with this "wearable" gimbal was that a chest mount was not included, nor was a specific one recommended other than the GoPro Chesty.

Great video .. Hows the audio from the hero 8 while using with the gimbal ? Thankz
I cannot get the bracket to fit my GoPro 8 black . Do you have photos of 8 fitting ?

Thank you! We shot in normal GoPro colors, Hypersmooth Boost, low sharpness, and everything else on auto.
Can you use any wearable gimbles with a smartphone?

Too heavy for most neck mounts out there unless you can DIY a rig.

Did you review GoPro 3 way 2.0? If yes, please share the link....I want to buy it....but after watching your review
I have no intention of ever buying a gimbal for my Hero9 but I watched until the end just help your channel. Great job!
Wow, thank you so much! I appreciate the support 🙏

I have the Removu S1, but unfortunately that also only supports up to the GoPro Hero 7. It can be used as a wearable and has a remote though.
would this work while your jet skiing?

it all sounds amazing Tony, but I cant find this item anymore, I think everyone decided to get this :(
U honestly have the best go pro content
Thank you so much ❤
Does this allow the use of the media mod?
hey this is compatible with the 9 and 10 now.
It's not, unfortunately.
would have been interesting to see how well it worked with the audio adapter and microphone "connected". My experience of GP7 and gimbel, acoustically, are not positive. Thanks anyway
There isn't space in the gimbal to add the mic adapter or Media Mod, unfortunately.
Why doesn't it work with the hero 9 and 10? What's the issue with those
The Hero 9 and 10 are too big and won't fit.

What do you mean when you say it is not compatible with latest go pro 9/10. Is it he size or the weight that is not compatible with the WG2X?
Yes, the weight and size of the Hero 9 and 10 is not supported.
What are the other options in the wearable gimbal field? Do any of them work on the 10?
I don't know of any that work with the Hero 10.

You have to use the GoPro Chest Mount
@@Gemini_Connect It connects the same way.
Wish they will make a new gen for GoPro 9 n onwards
Yeah, me too. The gimbal makers have been slow to make any for the Hero 9.
Gemini connect, this gimbal INKEE Falcon for Gopro Hero 9, cya!
great review! do you know of any wearable gimbal for smartphones?
Sorry, no.
Hey, do you think the DJI Osmo Action 3/4 will fit with this gimbal? Thank you
This gimbal is made for specific GoPro models, so likely not.
@@Gemini_Connect Thank you for your quick reply. What gimbal can you recommend me for the DJI Osmo Action 3/4? I want to mount it to my motorcycle
Anything for a hero 10? I don't see any chest mount gimbals for them.
Wasn't able to find any chest gimhals for the Hero 9 or 10 yet.

Yes, it will help.
Hi! Nice video. Informative. Do you know if this gimble fits for Insta 360 one r. I'm looking for one like this one. Thnx ahead. 😘
I can't say for sure because I'm traveling at the moment and cannot test it. But I don't think it does.
Thanks for this info I m waiting for this gimbal 🙏
Hi Gemini!! I was looking around for something like this for the hero 9 atleast for a backpack mount stabilizer. most especially when walking in trails. its nice to have it hands free.
Sadly there isn't one (or many at all) for the Hero 9.
I always have something to learn from your video's thank's .
That's great to hear. Thank you for watching Jim 🙏
That's really cool, would be fun for biking around.
Agreed! Just wish it would fit the Hero 9.
@@Gemini_Connect Because of the way it screws in to mount I think it would be easy to mod to fit the larger gopro.
Kind of....it's a fixed bracket for a specific height though. You could possibly swap out the bracket for a larger one though.
@@Gemini_Connect i was thinking you could use the screws to mount some type of tension mount. That fits larger sizes like the 9
Nice Gimble..I like it
THANX!

You NEED a gimbal with ALL GoPro’s if you shoot with an ND filter (Cinematic as she mentioned)
