      “I really liked it! I’ll give it a 7, the equivalent of a C-“
      It’s amazing how the difference between cars they’re indifferent to and cars they really like is about the difference between a 6 and a 7. And how almost nothing gets a 9. Literally nothing gets a 10. For all intents and purposes, the team test scores are out of 9, not 10.

      The A110. Bought the A110S. One thing I don't understand is your score. Only 27 out of 40? The A110 is a 40/40 ... no comparable any other car around at the moment ... and will never be. All will get heavy eletric battery monsters ... 😄 So, best buy for sport car ... the A110 or A110S 😎

      @@carpediem1140 Yeah, their team test system is incredibly arbitrary. Cars they like get a 7. Cars they find mediocre get a 7. Cars they’re disappointed in get a 7. Cars with a cool image get more than 7. Cars with a bad image get less than 7. It’s silly.

    18:37 The 3 guy has a problem with Dacia or with Duster???? Either way it seems personal. This SUV deserves 40/40 only because of price and quality comparing with the other SUV's market price at least three times less $$$.

    • @richwilliams9895
      @richwilliams9895 3 года назад +1

      I don’t get what his problem was tbh. But he has lots of money and has probably lost sight of what the average person wants from a car. Not everyone can spend 40k on a car. I don’t think it deserves a score of 40 either because I’m sure it’s not perfect. Thing is smart people will buy the Dacia who don’t need to live from pay cheque to pay cheque or finance or the never never. Because those who own them probably live quite comfortably and well within their means and have paid off their mortgage etc. when we see those in nice cars chances are they are living beyond their means 40k debt on a car alone not all nice cars are owned by those who can afford them.

    The real test with electric cars is whether you can thrash them round a test track like they do on Top Gear . And of course it’s about where the nearest charging point is and how quickly it charges. Until they sort those ones out , an electric car simply isn’t a viable alternative to petrol.

    Duster? That is a Plymouth name. Was a muscle car. How rude to use that name on a cheap CUV

    • @judethaddaeus9742
      @judethaddaeus9742 4 года назад

      LOL. Most Plymouth Dusters came with a 225 slant 6 making around 100hp. It was designed to be an economy car first and foremost, which is why they priced it lower than the vanilla Valiant it was based on.
      After they dropped the Duster in ‘76, they then slapped the name on a subcompact Plymouth Turismo as an appearance package in the ‘80s, as well as the V6 version of the Sundance in the ‘90s. Plymouth has been dead for 20 years now, anyway.
      Let it go, man.

    • @danam0228
      @danam0228 4 года назад

      @@judethaddaeus9742 No, real Dusters had V8s. And the ones from early 70s kicked butt in the quarter mile. What you say about the base model, which I'll give to you even though it is not completely accurate as the base Duster trim came with an upgraded "Super Six", is the same that can be said of a lot of cars. Even Camaros, Chevelles and Mustangs all had weak 6 cylinder engines as base engines. And if you want to talk real sad there was pathetic Mustangs of mid 70s that couldn't keep up with a base model Valiant. I know because I raced my sister's 77 Mustang Ghia in my dad's 76 Dodge Dart that was the cheapest 4 door available from Dodge and blew her away - no exaggeratiin. My mom had the 2 dr Swinger version from 75 with A/C, power windows, FM radio, cloth seats and carpeting as extras plus a 318 V8 that my mom smoked the tires with by accident a few times. Regardless, it just isn't cool of them to use an American name on their vehicle. What if they threw Z28 on there? They are stealing a name, not being at all creative. LAZY

    • @judethaddaeus9742
      @judethaddaeus9742 4 года назад

      @@danam0228 Do you honestly think people in Romania in the ‘80s cared or even knew much about the Plymouth Duster when Dacia started using the name? Dusters were selling for $500 on used car lots half a world away.
      Most Plymouth Dusters had sixes. They weren’t Plymouth’s pony car, either... that honor went to the Barracuda. Their muscle cars were the GTX and Road Runner. Plymouth designed the Duster to be their cheap economy model, and happened to sell a few with performance tuned V8s, like the 340 and 360. But it’s not like they were legendary when Plymouth killed the name in ‘76. Otherwise, they’d have kept it going. Instead, they slapped the Road Runner name on the sporty version of Valiant’s replacement. They did do a Volaré Duster from 1979-80, but it was a $30 base model wheel, tire, upholstery, and paint upgrade. You could get the Road Runner’s window lovers if you paid extra.
      Plymouth sold 1.3 million Dusters from 1970-76. Only 75,000 had the 340 or 360. 95% of Dusters were pedestrian. Meanwhile, Pontiac was selling almost as many Trans Ams *per year* as Plymouth sold Duster 340/360s over 7 years.
      Today, Dusters are seen as something special and hot rodders love modifying them because they’re cheap and easy to mod. But back in the ‘70s, they were like Toyota Corollas: cheap economy cars. The cheapest cars Plymouth made. There have been fast Corollas, too, but you wouldn’t call Corollas muscle cars just because they made a few fast ones.
      And the Super Six didn’t even come out until the Duster’s final, shortened ‘76 model year, and had a whole 110hp. Most of the Duster’s life, the 198 six was standard with the 225 optional.
