Jason giving the mazda 3 a 2 is proof that they hate japanese. They had a problem with the mazda black interior but the bmw is twice the price and had the same all black interior and they love it. The mazda 3 has high quality interior. Better than some sub compact audi and mercedes. But no mention of that. And the mazda and toyota is also very reliable unlike those junk the fifth gear team rate high. These people are fail car journalist. And i will never take these people advise. Nobody hates the Japanese. They make great (but mostly boring) cars. The Mazda 3 doesn't have a high quality interior, I've had one. The Focus is better in quality. Reliability is amazing though, so there is always rhat.
I agree but disagree. BMW are a great example of all black interiors and I see that bias but where I disagree is small turbos. Small but efficient and refined turbos for the win!

Great vid but have to say from seeing the car sideways I would have known straight away it’s a Toyota Auris (now called in Uk Corolla) so would have worked out pretty quick and I wouldn’t say I’m a car expert.
I also like it's looks. Removable seat covers great. After a week with kids in the car I would love removable covers. I am surprised johny didn't pick up on that.

I like that they could say I don’t like this thing at all or, I can’t even look at it it’s so absurd. They’re quite fair with her assessments of the cars. Jeep’s judgment was spot on. The people who buy the Jeeps Love it because it is what it is. I would never own one. It was interesting how the Volvo was so successful. I couldn’t believe that Toyota supra was blended with BMW wow, how did that happen? It’s a strange world we’re living in now. The hottest review I’ve seen, the 2020 Cadillac Blackwing. Who would’ve known that was out there.
Great set of reviews, I am so with Johnny about the BMW X thing and with Jason on the Mazda 3. The opinions are excellent, because none of us buy a car with a spec sheet, it’s how we feel about it that counts, we only ever use the spec sheet to rationalise it later.

We want the old Supras, Celicas and Imprezas and the interesting Mazda 2s and 3s of old. We don't want rebadged BMWs and electric cars that do less than 150 miles. We still love the S2k, Subaru Legacy, MX5s, LFAs etc. Also the GR Yaris has been universally praised. Nothing anti-Japanese going on.

That's a performance bias, not bias against the brands BECAUSE they are Japanese. To be clear, there is a lot of xenophobia in a lot of british media, but this is *not* an example of it.
I still believe that their Corolla test is completely out of line and looked at it from a performance standpoint, which it is not built for. It was built for economy and it wasn't tested as such.

They don't even know that the Volvo is a chinese car, not swedish. Since 2010 Volvo Cars has been owned by the Chinese automotive company Geely Holding Group. So, if you love China, buy a Volvo.
Their main criticism of CVTs is that it makes a lot of noise when accelerating. I'm not sure how knowing everything to know about an E-CVT would change that critique. 🤔
I have a cvt in mine and tbh its very smooth for daily use and does what it says on the tin. Just make sure you get paddle shift with a cvt equipped car if you want to have _some_ entertainment. In normal mode cvts get great fuel economy though.

The price difference between the base version of that fugly X7 (72.000) and the version they tested (85 and change)... that's perhaps twice the amount of money I spent buying and maintaining all of the cars I ever owned combined (not counting fuel/insurance/road tax). So let's be fair, none of these videos are of any practical use to me. Still fun to watch though.
To think that Toyota delayed the release of the "new" Corolla/Auris some years back when Honda introduced the wedge-shaped Civic and they still can't style a car, all these years later......

I had one of these and sold it for an RS3 with its dual clutch tranny. The 2019 RS3 is one hell of a ride.
