The Suez Canal transformed the world forever. Now, again, widening it is a major construction project, aimed at doubling the width and deepening its main waterway.
500 million cubic meters of sand and soil have already been transported from all over the world. Using unprecedented 3D images, we reveal how the canal will be widened. We also look
back to the original construction, back in 1859, to show how it first came to be built.

As for the problem of crossing the ever evolving Suez Canal I can see the solution as being a large ferry suitable for vehicles with the outer docks for the ferry being recessed into the banks to avoid causing canal traffic obstuction. Any bridge built would become too short as the canal is widened and any tunnel underneath the Suez Canal would eventualy hinder the deepening of the canal.

    • @prepperjonpnw6482

When do you think Egypt will repay those who built the canal in the first place. With interest and adjusted for inflation plus an amount for damages i.e. loss of income due to Nasser Nationalising the canal?
Just thought I’d mention it lol

Wait are you saying that 500 million cubic meters of sand and soil was brought to the Suez from all over the world?
Or do you mean to say what was said in the video which is that dredges were brought in from all over the world to move the 500 million cubic meters of sand and soil from the new canal section?

What about the original builders of the canal? I would say that everyone who was involved with the canal from the design engineers to the lowest peasant with a shovel to those who secured financing for it to be built to all of the families (wives and children) who went long periods without seeing their husband/father
while they were away working on it. There were so many people involved it’s difficult to name them all I would even include the very first person to dream of this canal. But definitely a big thank you to all of the nameless labourers who toiled for long endless days doing back breaking work moving what must have seemed like never ending piles of earth. All throughout history on many many large projects there were always the lowly labourers doing 90% of the work usually for low wages if they were even paid, quite a few were slaves. Thank goodness for mechanical engineers who designed and built all of the fantastic machines we have now.
      Cheers

From 23:54, you have a great example of the way biology anticipates technology. The device essentially is an artificial mouth and gullet, complete with teeth and saliva. From 25:09 and from 26:12, also from 26:55 you then can see how the digestive system of an animal is imitated also at its other end, after the sand has been stored in the stomach of a ship. So altogether you have a huge artificial animal eating its way through the ground.

We should build a ship as big as the planet so we wouldn't have to build a bigger canal.

You must love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. You must love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus the anointed is Lord! Repent and be baptized and believe the Gospel.

Can you make intro a bit longer next time? i dont think 4 minutes can cover all the highlights. How about 22+ minutes?

Did you know the first canal for connecting to Mediterranean sea to the red sea was made by the Persian king's order Darius the Great some 2500 years ago? It didnt go all the way through to the red sea but some transport had to be done over the dry land.

You ought to described that the canal was built largely of forced labor or slave without compensation from the French and English empire. Many of those labors have never return to their homeland country but die on the site for lack of foods and hard work.😂
