    I'm so glad he gave credit where it was due to Owane. I love Intervals but Owane's additions to The Way Forward album is what made it for me. If you haven't, do yourself a favor and go check out Owane's stuff. You'll thank me later!

      I love both of them!! If you like owane, you should check Arch echo. But I have no idea that owane had anything to do with The Way Forward. Can you tell me what he did?

      @@Dante-xf1mu Yeah arch echo is awesome. Owane did the all the keys on the way forward and played guitar on by far and away.

    Just to reiterate, please check out Owane guys. If you love this style of music and you're into super dorky but ridiculously talented musicians, it's worth your time. Guy's an absolute beast and you can clearly hear his influence in the album

    Ok, yeah Aaron said since they're progressive, that he felt like he needed to try vocals, but I think and feel like if you call yourself instrumental progressive, that you wouldn't need to do that. That's an easy way to say that I'm not gonna have vocals or make a vocalist a part of the project. You could still have some vocals featured in some songs in an album and still be considered instrumental. Though since it seemed like he was out numbered by the people he was working with, that thinking that being progressive means he needs to try a vocalist for an album makes things seem a bit easier to do when you feel you shouldn't or don't want to. Plus instrumental prog music is getting popular i.m.o. 'cause of the fact you can focus on the technical instruments and or electronics that are put into a very enjoyable song and album and you can make your own interpretation of the meaning of the songs. Plus for people with zero vocal ability (clean or unclean, either it's good or just works well) can make music and not be held back by trying to find a vocalist that fits well with the instruments/electronics they write and that works well with them personally. That's another thing that's keeping people from making great music is trying to find a vocalist. Also, people are learning how to produce all or most of their music by themselves at home.

      He's a musician with a diverse sound. Why wouldn't you want him to experiment a little bit? It makes for a better sounding, more diverse album anyway

    • @KelliConan
      @KelliConan 6 лет назад

      Nah I don't have a problem with him doing it. It's just that he didn't want to and didn't need to is all I was saying. He just made himself feel alright with doing it by thinking he's progressive so he's gotta progress and try it. I also said that he didn't need to do that. Not don't do that. It doesn't make you instrumental progressive if you add a vocalist to the band/project. You end up being just progressive. I.M.O., I prefer him being instrumental progressive and his music doesn't need any vocals, but if that was what Intervals ended up being after AVW, then I'd get used to it and move on from them being instrumental prog. I'd still be behind him anyway and start to enjoy them with vocals. It would probably take me a while to do so, but I would. Plus the vocals were great, but if I'm told you're instrumental progressive, then my mind is set on not focusing on the words (to me at that point I feel like the words are covering up the instruments/electronics if my mind is set on a project just being 100% instrumental), but just only the instruments/electronics. Though I'm fine with a few songs having some vocals in it if you're instrumental progressive. Also a lot of people don't understand instrumental guitar music because a lot of people ask for vocals so the artist(s) can better get their point across. Though those people don't understand that it's about feeling and focusing on the instruments and or electronics in the songs. Though they might not get that 'cause they can't do it themselves and need vocals to direct them. That's probably why. Though most people do that anyway when listening to stuff with vocals in it. So it's no different with instrumental guitar stuff. It's just that you have to do it with instrumental guitar stuff. Also, you can determine your own meaning of the songs. It's just that the guideline for a song is the album title and the name of the song. Even a whole album can be one story. Which I think is kind of fun tbh. Though more and more people are starting to enjoy focusing on just the instruments and or electronics and not needing to have vocals. It's another type of stuff to enjoy. Plus people who don't have vocals (clean or unclean, good or it just works) can still make and put out amazing music without needing to find a vocalist that works well with their music and works well them personally.
