  • Squeeze Play is an intermediate gladed run off the Ramshead Express Quad at Killington. It's the longer and (because of that) slightly more difficult sister trail to Twister and, unlike the other one, crosses quite a few brooks/streams that make for some challenging conditions when snow runs thin. That was exactly the case here where I got stuck in a few precarious situations from trying to ski over some exposed brooks!
Advice: General glade rules apply (don’t wear your pole straps, go slow, etc). As shown in the video there are quite a few streams that will be in the way if there is thin cover, so do definitely keep that in mind even if the conditions at the entrance look really nice. Definitely stay to skier's left of the trail because that is usually the most tried-and-true section and has a more feasible exit onto neighboring Timberline if things go awry.
    Overall Difficulty: 4/10
    Relative Difficulty (Intermediate): 8/10
Accessibility Rating: 5/10 (Right off Caper, but the entrance is rather hidden and begins with a sketchy drop-in)
Open Trail Index: 3/10 (Like Twister but less dependable)
Enjoyment Rating: 6/10 (Amazing start and otherwise great conditions if not for the exposed brooks)
I still consider myself a beginner in terms of my experience with my GoPro.

2:40 I remember this exact river back in march 2018 lol it was on a 3 foot pow day and we couldn't see the water but as soon as we skied over it we quickly found out...

Nice. And it was snow. When I was there on the last day of the year, the conditions were poor...

The conditions were poor on the last day of the year? That's really weird.

Why did you keep skiing into the streams?

It might be hard to see with the GoPro but the stream more or less runs across the entire trail. You had to cross it at some point - I just tried to find the places everyone else was doing it because those probably worked the best.
I was quite unsatisfied with this recording so I went back into the woods to get a second take (where I just take my skis off and jump the gaps), but my camera died after only a minute or two of footage. Maybe next winter!

Nice video. Looked like a fun run except the resort should have gone in and flagged those little streams. Someone could get seriously hurt in those. Out west they flag hazards very well. Shame on Killington.
