Have never seen anything like this before. It goes loud and soft and really high all the way to the low end. Also had variety of rhythms. Music must've looked crazy
ok but hid bass clarinet is like perfect dude- no matter how many times i have heard a bass clarinet i havent heard the instrument actually sound this good before
Uau, I was astonished while listening to Kenari Quartet's baritone player. Went on youtube to watch more. Damn... Huge sound and remarkable technique!! I just to listened to the three Rachmaninov's Cello Sonata movements and I was blown away with Steven's interpretation. My teacher once told me about this Hyla's duet and I never got to hear it... Bow to you Steven, great job! SUBSCRIBED!! Lots of love from Portugal!
Its an off mix of two instruments that would never generally go together, but somehow they each managed to demonstrate what each does best without being objectionably disharmonious.
It's been a year but idk what you're talking about, bari and bass clarinet compliment each other very well. In marching bands and bands in general you'll normally see them next to each other playing the same rhythm beautifully
@@bluejay9638 Well they're both single reed instruments. Other than that, they don't go together very well. One is warm and woody, the other muted and tinny. They play side by side here because the two players make it look entertaining, and so we accept them.
Have you ever listed to symphonic band music? The low reeds blend great together. Bass clarinet, tenor sax, bari sax, and bassoons. Beautiful, rich sound.

Yes, definitely one of the more challenging pieces I've played!
@@sbanks590 bass sax i playing soon
Somehow it feels like two guys engaging in some hilarious banter haha. Brilliant performance!
Amazing this shows how beautiful both the Bari sax and bass clarinet are no other sax or clarinet can demonstrate well
Being a bass player i love this 2 years later cause why not
But your picture is of a tenor sax tho...

wonderful composition and performance 😀
Both of Adolph’s sax’s inventions!
Amazing to the both of them. I never heard a bass clarinet play so loud before, bravo!
They sound so similar in the high register
Listened to it twice, the second time while following the score. Really great job!
rloomis3 thank you! It's truly a bear to put together.
I don't doubt it. Fun fact: I heard from a reliable source that the first commercial recording had over 90 edits in it.
Did you purchase the score or did you view it somewhere else? This is major inspo for a piece I'm working on so I'd love to analyse it
@@erin_potgieter I own it. You can find it from various sellers online; surprisingly enough, it's less than 20 bucks.
Truly outstanding performance of a very interesting and difficult piece.
Incroyable son, de la douceur puis du punch! .. la vie quoi !! Bravo

Unique
amazing!! great!
Amazing! Really cool piece, I would love to play this, is it published or available for purchase somewhere?
Not to mention, the fantastic performance! Enchanting :)
Very nice
The bass clarinet: -------
The bari sax: /\/\/\/\/\/\
The bass clarinet: Side to side
The bari sax: Up and down
😂😂
Those 2 and the contrabass flute in C make a good trio. Or, those 2 plus the B flat tenor saxophone and the F basset horn make a good combination.
Ahh yes, my two favourite low reeds :D
Woah..
Holy Shit !

And now for something completely different...
This shows that with the right balance the bari doesn't have to bari up the bass clarinet. lol
Luke Rosenkaimer ha nice one I play bass clarinet so I’m offended a bit
Which of the two is better personally I think the Saxophone is better
@Keanan well the bass clarinet is the almost the same as the clarinet
I have no words.. It was good tho
can anyone identify that bari mouthpiece?
I play bass clarinet and I can’t play like that yet
Yet! Exactly, but it will come grasshopper. Hopefully, you are closed now than you were then.
Maybe once you graduate middle school
