    There was this amazing show I found on TV once called Zoo Juniors (showing baby animals across a few really nice zoos with conservation programs in Germany) and it quickly became a favorite. That show taught me about sun bears! They were always so fun to watch in the show, so it was cool to see where they are from in this video.

    You two are the only ones who would start off a video talking about pooping outside (on a toilet) and I'd keep playing the video. Just so you know how special you are.

  • @AnimeStarwind

    I just have to say, that i'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought pooping outside would have been weird. However, i'm so jealous of that first place to stayed in! How amazing would it be to have a shower in the middle of the jungle!

    Yay! Finally the long awaited orangutan episode! Scones are a quick-breads like biscuits and muffins in the States, meaning they are not made of yeast-risen dough, but are leavened with baking powder/baking soda. Crumpets are a lot like English muffins, thick rounds with all the "nooks and crannies" when split in half. I wonder if those 'crepes' were flavored with pandan? It is usually used in desserts in SE Asia like vanilla is used here in the States, and those products are usually that shade of green. The view from the longhouse was spectacular. The mold, not so much. All that moisture with no moisture barrier makes mold/mildew like that unavoidable.The fried snowflakes are made with a special metal form on a stick that is shaped like the snowflake, then it is dipped in a batter and the whole thing is plunged into hot oil. The batter then fries and will release from the form as it hardens. Usually served with powdered sugar or with a sweet syrup if freshly made. Thanks for sharing another great adventure with us!

    Where to start here LOL. Kyde going full tourist fantastic visual. Eric chummy with the orangoutangs. The tea tasting like tea review classic. Kyde's comment on the town being really into vegetables busted my gut. The long house did look disgusting. All good stuff loved it love you both stay safe and keep the smiles coming. peace and love peace and love

      Kyde and Eric
      Aye aye scone's are British, Americans always get biscuits,cookies and a few other things wrong because of the separation from England to colonize America.
      A biscuit snaps and crunches, a cookie is sweet and crumbles also has chocolate or other chips/chunks added, crumpets I think you call them English muffins, but a muffin is a big fluffy cupcake but cupcakes are more dense. I think Americans also call dumplings that you have in a stew biscuits which I don't understand. Oh btw we don't have crepes here, we eat and have pancake day and the way you eat it is sprinkle sugar while flat add lemon juice roll it up, sugar and lemon juice cut into 2 inch rolls and eat with a fork, melts in your mouth. I've had American pancakes and was surprised how thick they were and it came with sirup and bacon, never had anything so tasty for breakfast in my life.

    • @kydeanderic
      @kydeanderic  7 лет назад

      Haha, spot on with everything except I've never heard a soup dumpling called a biscuit before, but it could be a regional thing I guess. You should try American chicken and waffles, btw. -E

    44:30 those are rosettes...or friend of rosette. Those look slightly different and sound crunchier than what I'm familiar with. They're of Scandinavian origin and are popular around Christmas time. You're Swedish friends probably know of them!

    • @markrbore
      @markrbore 7 лет назад

      Definitely friend of rosette. According to wikipedia: "In Malaysia, a similar pastry is called kuih loyang (brass cakes, named for the brass moulds), kuih ros (rose cakes), 蜂窝饼 (beehive or honeycomb) cookies. [2] Perhaps influenced by the Dutch colonials, the Malaysian version includes coconut milk in addition to flour, sugar and eggs, similar to the Sri Lankan kokis."
      My mom used to make rosettes when I was young. We ate them dusted with powdered sugar. Very yummy!

    Iv'e watched literally every video you've posted, some multiple times. I love Eric's hitchhiking series. I thought about contributing to the Patreon, but I'm going to go ahead and stop watching. There's just too many things wrong. Take some friendly advice:
    1. 'Kyde and Eric' makes no sense. Anyone searching for your channel will look for 'Katie and Eric'. A Google search for the latter brings up nothing for your channel, and that's what new viewers will be searching for.
    2. As a travel channel, affiliating yourselves with Trump is a bad move. Talking about watching his horrible reality show (which he is said to have been opening racist on) is a bad look. Katie going to his inauguration is a horrible idea for a video for a channel you are trying to market internationally.
    3. After yeas living abroad, Katie still comes off like a clueless American. Lettuce and cabbage are two different things. This also calls back to the Trump thing. Nazis love him. You are a fan of the preferred president of Nazis?
    Don't alienate your audiences. While the world was calling Trump out on his xenophobia, you were watching reruns of his shitty reality show and filling seats at his inauguration. That isn't what world-travel is about. It's the opposite.

    • @kydeanderic
      @kydeanderic  7 лет назад +2

      +Craig Bolton Haha, uh.
      1. But her name is Kyde. No one is searching for the random phrase "Katie and Eric" anyways. Kyde also instantly returns a result.
      2. We don't affiliate ourselves with Trump. She watched a show he was on, it was a shit show, we both know it and she likes trash TV. Do also keep in mind we shot this series in December and January, before he was inaugurated and well before the "Nazi situation" came up, but even at that I'm not sure calling anyone who watched The Apprentice a Nazi supporter is a fair assessment.
      3. We don't script, we pop all video off the top of our heads. Sometimes we will misspeak, have a blank, or just not know everything ever. We don't claim to either.
      4. She made a video at his inauguration as an event video same as we ever have. It was not politically charged at all, and we were very clear about that. It was a video shot to show the experience of the event and I think she did a great job.
      Take care. -Eric
