Dr. Lee, you are an amazing teacher, thank you for the explanation! Question, I would like to become a physical trainer for older individuals needing strength/mobility training for longevity. It sounds like kinesiology would be excellent to know first, even if it’s not a degree. Is this correct?
This is super clear and helpful! Thanks Justin!
Thankful that what was explained was clear and concise. Thanks for your feedback!!
Hey man Thanks for always taking time of your day to share this knowledge with all viewers. We all appreciate you 👍
You’re absolutely welcome! I love doing this stuff!!!
Hi there! I love your breakdown and explanation. Coming from a Dance & personal training background I thought it only made sense to dive into Physical Therapy lol. When entering the field would you suggest starting at the PT Assistant level? I’ve found some associate degree programs. I have a BA & MBA but it’s not related to the health sciences specifically.
wierd how you learn all the kine knowledge so fast at the start, i know people who did 4 years uni of it, in a really uni, next to chemists and other real sciences.
Thanks for this explanation. Made so much sense in understanding both 😊
Thanks for explaining this man 🙏🏽
You’re very welcome! Please ask as many questions as you would like 🙂
Very clear. Thank you
I’m finishing my minors in kines this following semester I also worked on my pre reqs during this time so that by next semester I could hope into the PTA program ultimately I wanna be physical therapist
That’s great Marc. It looks like you are right on track with your journey. Glad you have things figured out and planned out!!! This is HUGE! Keep your eyes on the prize. I know you’ll feel so rewarded and thrilled when you get accepted 😇 let me know how I can support you more
Hi! i love your videos!! but i have a question, only physiotherapist can do rehab in patients? because i know that in others countries the kinesiology major works in rehab and is not necessary the PT career.
Im a physiotherapist (2.5 years of study) and a professional kinesiologyst (5 years of study) here in Chile, can I convallidate this degrees to work in Canada?
Really informative video thank you for this🙏
You’re absolutely welcome Esai!
I love your videos. I'm going to take Kinesiology 100 at a community college. Do you know if it's a heavy class? Should I take that class alone, or would it be too much for me to take another class at the same time I'm taking Kinesiology?
Thank you so much!! I would for sure take another class with it. Kinesiology 100 should be pretty easy. Especially if you love the subject already… you’ll pick up on it fast!
@@drjustinleedpt thank you!
so what about an undergraduate degree of kinesiology and then I'll do a master in physical therapy? do you advise me by that? thanks in advance your video was clear
I don’t think there’s such a thing as a masters in physical therapy in America.
So can you become a physical therapy with a public health degree?
Thanks
Welcome!
Hey Justin if someone majors in something other than Kinesiology can getting your NASM personal training certificate help to learn body movement?
It most definitely can! I think it is an awesome way to dive into the content and get exposed. A certification isn’t too complex so learn the info won’t be too straining on the brain haha
@@drjustinleedpt Thanks for the info, and all the great videos. I appreciate all your awesome advice on PT.
@@michaelleighton8957 You're very welcome! If there is anything I can do to help support you better, please reach out! That includes video topics (:
Would you consider changing things up and doing a video on a bodyweight workout with minimal to no equipment?
@@michaelleighton8957 It is something I definitely want to make videos on - fitness and exercises. But a lot of subscribers are here for pre-PT, PT school related videos
hello sir, I wanted to ask as I have done BPT from India. will doing MSc in kinesiology be a good option, as it comes to be very cost effective in comparison to MSC in PT when we look at good Canadian universities. becz I think BPT has already made me eligible for PCE exam and kinesiology is very much related to the field. please reply as shortly as possible.
@liftforchange can you please reply to this comment as many of us are confused about this option.
*BPT stands for Bachelor of Physical Therapy.
To be honest, I am unsure what it is like in Canada, or other countries, because my specialty resides in the United States of America. In the USA, you need to have a doctor of physical therapy in order to practice.
@@drjustinleedpt thanks for your reply
i want to be an exercise physiologist
Nice!!! I’m actually coming out with a video that compares DPT vs exercise physiologist. Be on the lookout for that!
Hey not to be a nuisance but do you ever think you’ll be able to make a video explaining the difference between a PT and a Chiropractor, cause I tell lot of people I want to be become a PT but they ask me what’s the difference between them however I don’t know enough to explain to them 😂
WOOOAHHHH!!! You read my mind bro! That video is dropping soon 😉 you heard it first here! I have it filmed but I still need to edit it. I know you’ll benefit from the video 🙂
And you’re never a nuisance my man !!
@@drjustinleedpt Thanks hope your channel keeps growing 👍
@@javiermartinez5483 thank you! I just uploaded the video. CHECK IT OUT!
Dang you sound annoyed but thank you! XD
Ahahahaa oh man!! I’m not annoyed at all! I need to work on my communication skillz lol
