Hello brother, Ive just completed my 4 years bachelor degree in nutrition. Can I persue my master in physical therapist by choosing kinesiology? I am in huge delima brother
Physiotherapy is a little different than exercise physiologist. You might still be able to get a job with that major though. You might have to take additional certifications
Do I need a masters degree to become an exercise physiologist? I’m almost at my 4th year in Kinesiology and I’m not looking to go into graduate school. I’m considering even going into a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
No, the minimum is a 4 year degree in an exercise science field. Clinical exercise physiologists are more than likely going to need a masters degree in the future (think 2029 potentially). But you can become an exercise physiologist and a clinical exercise physiologist with a bachelors. I am currently an ACSM (EP-C) and am studying for my ACSM (CEP). I've been working in a cardiac Cath lab for the last 6 months and have learned soooooo much. I'm also thinking about going back to school to obtain an associates in cardiac sonography (RDCS). Super cool field as well!
@@snake8078 No problem. I would highly recommend that you read the ACSM “Clinical Exercise Physiology” from wolters klumer. Trust me.
Brother, can you suggest what more certification to pursue after Bach degree in sports and exercise science to become more marketable and Inc salary (option) to become clinical exercise physiologist except masters degree anything related experience or any certification ( in addition with all certification that will act as a cherry on the top). Please reply
Which degree do you think is more qualified or relevant to be an exercise physiologist? I have heard that sport science degree is not really valuable to find jobs
If you want to be an exercise physiologist, getting a degree in exercise physiology would be the best. I don’t think It would be worth it to get a doctorate in physical therapy just to be qualified to be an exercise physiologist.
I just made a video on jobs you can get with a kinesiology degree. You should check it out I think you would find it beneficial ruclips.net/video/S1hlB5X2oJY/видео.html
You definitely can do that! I think if you wanted to start your own business just getting a personal training cert is enough to get started and then do continuing education for exercise science
As someone who has worked in the industry, yes. There are so many opportunities in strength and conditioning, for athletes or tactical programs. It could also help someone interested in personal training-although that can also be done with just a certification. Aside from programming and clinical work, there are opportunities in health promotion-designing and marketing programs which encourage others to practice healthy habits. One example would be corporate wellness.
