Ravnica itself is so broken that they had to nerf the living guildpact in order to counter balance. At least that's what I tell myself so I don't get enraged every time I see that Jace. "Of all the Jace's that had to suck why did it have to be you" I say, as I toss it into the longbox of forgotten cards.
When I first saw Kenrith's Transformation I thought it Targeted Planswalkers for 2 Mana... then I realized they wouldn't put a functional Reprint of Song of the Dryads in a Standard Format that just released 30 + Planswalkers

I was the opponent from the first match! I can't believe that you topdecked that moon in game 3! I had abrupt decay in hand as well as a burning wish for a bounce spell to get out that both got immediately turned off.
21:14 is playing a deck with blood moon, chalice, and trinsphere. Calls the opponent the fun police.

You can only cast the spell revealed by Torch of Defiance, on the turn it is exiled. I understand why you might mistake this, as the MTGO interface recently changed to not make this clear.

No, the scab clan isn't known for breaking up unions. The scab clan is one of the most prominent grill clans in recent years since it engulfed several smaller clans. They are led by Narbulg Nine-Fingers and are known for their pride in their scars and body modifications.
i won with tibalt in a modern paper tournament in my local store with the -4 on a drege shell vs control. I dreged and discard the imp 3 times with tibalt lol

@@elastarfall102 4 mana chandra lets you cast the spell only when her ability is resolving, you cant play lands in the meantime, so yeah, vince actually didnt have the mana.
Edit: now ive seen from other comment what happened, vince could hardcast big chandra from hand... that was bad.

I don't know. When that guy is playing Tibalt, and you've seen them turn an Ugin into a Nicol-Bolas, it might be genuine. That's prolly the most ridic match either of them have ever played and will ever play.
The Ugin turning into Nicol Bolas around 30min mark is pure flavor.

I played Tibalt when he was in Standard years ago in a Boros Reani-... er, "Resurrector" shell. Tibalt is decent when you have stuff you don't mind getting discarded, like reanimation targets, or cards with flashback like Faithless Looting and Unburial Rites.

I maintain that Tibalt's always been pretty damn solid in Loam decks, even if he's been upstarted by the other 2 cmc pw
Remember when they put planeswalkers from the actual standard set in decks that you could buy? So if you wanted a Sorin, or an Elspeth, you could buy a duel deck and get that card

Tibalt isn't quite the worst planeswalker in commander anymore. There's so much discard support now that Tibalt can do a reasonable impression of repeatable discard at 2 mana, especially given people ignore him in commander, and the -4 is reasonable if you can get there.

I'm built a similar deck for low tier Modern & Casual Play
Nissa, Vastwood Seer (Orgins)
Nissa, Steward of Elements (Amonkhet)
Nissa, Who Shakes the World (WotS)
& Reweave (CoK)
The deck basicly revolves around getting Nissa Vastwood Seer to flip then Reweave on your turn into Nissa Who Shakes the World this can also be done with Nissa Steward of Elements if you just out 3 mana into her you can get a one loyalty Planswalker use Turn Aside to Guard her for one Turn, or if your out landing your opponent you can just simply Quicken and Reweave on your Opponents Turn for 7

For reality scramble, how bout running cards like dockside extortionist that make treasure tokens (acceleration, seems ok in legacy with the mox/rocks), with spirit guides, then scramble the token into sundering titan? Or myr battlesphere/blightsteel. Alternatively, some cheap token makers like khalni garden into scrambled emrakul. That lets you play artifact mana but no critters.
If you are playing mana rocks or Prison pieces, you might just scramble into those. It's like the Tibalt into Tibalt situation, but less funny haha.
Will only say "Clab Scan Berserker" from now on. So awesome.

Honestly, the decks main weakness seems to be the the Lower cmc chandra. Replacing her with shit to make the combo more consistent seems the good move to me.

I've been too scared to step outside of standard and Arena's historic as shit is just way too weird for my small monkey brain and this video just solidifies this.
A lot of new things are overwhelming at first, but I think you will get used to the weird shit and make it your new normal. If you're willing to try that is. Fear doesn't last forever after all.
@@selfnico yeah true, I think it's mostly the card pool difference (going from about a thousand to twenty thousand is quite the jump), plus not really having the money to make a decent plunge kinda sucks

She is only castable the turn, and at the moment, where you exile her to Chandra.

Tibalt already got a glow-up. It's called Tibalt, Rakish Instigator. It turned him from an absolute piece of trash to...okay. Three mana Tibalt is fine. He's usable. Takes a giant dump on Pridemate Lifegain decks.

At 28:25 you should have played ancient tomb instead of a 4th mountain bc that puts you at 5 mana. So if you draw a lotus petal or a simian spirit guide the following turn, you could have played the city of traitors up to 7 mana and then use the guide or petal up to 8 to ugin and probably literally win on the spot. The 4th red source wasn’t changing anything. Plus you actually did end up drawing a simian so #punished
Tried to this kinda thing with possibility storm. It was EDH though so guaranteed no hitting another Tibalt.
