I went all Sitka last year Fanatic bibs and Jacket Equinox hoodie, fanatic hoodie, Stratus bibs and jacket, Merino base layers, stratus beenie, Celsius midi, neck gator, downpour jacket and pants. I will never go back to another brand. I gave away all of my scent lock clothes
I went with Sitka Gear last year and I'll never looked back. I have the Equinox jacket and pants, Fanatic set, Merino wool gloves and face mask. I also have the crew neck T shirt and a grinder hoodie for layering. I still use under armour as a thermal layer but at some point I'm going to get the Sitka mid weight base later. Good luck this season
I have the midi i do like that coat i like stratus hat as well no thicker than it is does the job thiink if you can layer for warmth then stratus over top to keep wind off would be more than good enough and it would cover more temp ranges
Nice video dude. I just bought uh... stratus Jacket and bibs, fanatic gloves, neck gaitor, and I picked up subalpine light weight t shirt and hoodie. And I just ordered the midi jacket! Never had good hunting gear so I hope it works well I'm sure it will. I need to get the heavy weight tops and bottoms and the fanatic hoody! Then I'll work on getting pants hah
I don't have a dog I'm the fight; is it worth the price or not. I really like the camo patterns. I would like to ask after watching your video. How much money do you have invested in all that gear?
Do you think that tool bucket bag would hold a 24 inch AR style folding stock PCP air rifle, canted inside? Sitka doesn't provide a depth spec on their website. I like the ease of use of that bag, but want it to fit my smaller air rifle.
It worked great just need to make sure your saddle has plenty of room because it will be snug in the fanatic if you don’t have any wiggle room in normal clothes. Look into Badlands clothing also. I’m liking they’re pattern a lot here lately and really am liking their warranty. Look at the Pyre set in comparison to the Fanatic. Just as warm or warmer actually and waterproof too
That tool bucket thing, the sitka backpack. Does it have a good system to strap clothing on the outside of it? Or do you just use bungees or something.
Hootie it has several straps on it. I lash climbing sticks, clothes, tripods, camera arms and all kinds of stuff to it through the season. It’s a really versatile bag
@@akernoutdoors9282 awesome that's what I needed to know. I'm trying to decide between the stratus or fanatic set, and I'm starting to think I just need both lol but can afford both this year. I hunt in ND where it gets brutally cold, treestand hunting I definitely need fanatic but lately I've been doing a lot of hiking around spot and stalk hunts where I think the stratus would be the better option.
Hootie yea you don’t want to hike in Fanatic but it being late season now I’d get Fanatic this year and stratus before next season. You’ll be amazed at Fanatic warmth
Chris 09 yes. I haul several cameras, extra clothes , filming gear, bow holders, arms, fluid head, sometimes strap lone wolf sticks and a saddle platform to it. It’s a workhorse
Robert Gallagher sort of - they do a S/M/L etc scale with tall sizing on some pants and a waist sizing with talks on others. They even do odd sizing on some pants but not any in Elevated II yet as far as I know
It's definitely expensive, But there is nothing else like it. I've invested a chunk of money into it, But I am always excited about every dollar I spend. I feel like they know what they have made, we know what we are buying; it's properly priced. Sure it would be fantastic if it was cheaper, But I'm just elated someone is making this stuff. I imagine everyone will say it's overpriced , until they try the stuff on and head into the woods.
@@weirdmood8102 if you plan on hunting for a long time and hunting hard through out the season then its worth the money..if you are those guys that just go out during the rut and 2 or 3 times then its not worth spending the money...just buy some scentlok clothing I believe they are good price for the average hunter..I been using scentlok my whole life and it work ok

Great vid. Helped a lot especially with sizing.
Great vid bro, good detail on all your gear. I live in Texas and and we get rain a lot n humidity.
Very nice gear. Awesome!!!
Jeremy Dean thank you!

First lite makes fantastic merino base layers, too. I typically just use patagonia capeline air and midweight or smartwool. Pretty hard to beat them.

I just added the Fanatic Vest to my collection before I head to north Missouri for a week.
Hey if you get the fanatic pack put a small trash bucket in it. There are some that fit PERFECT in it and give it a perfect frame

Mountain archery has great closeout deals on sitka throughout the year. Definitely worth checking out.

jc51373 I have no clue. It’s about 21 deep but if you went corner to corner it’s about 23-24 or so
I’m saving up now to swap over to Sitka this year. Have you wore the fanatic bibs and jacket with the saddle yet. If so how did it work

Why wouldn’t they put a hood on the fanatic jacket????
I think the first gen did. Second and third don’t for some reason lol
What size esw pants did you get? I'm about your size and am trying to figure out which size to order.
I’m XL in everything.
@@akernoutdoors9282 Hey thanks for the reply. Sitka must have changed their sizing on the pants. They are listing them in inches for waist size.
Robert Gallagher oh yea I’m a 38 in waist in jeans so I’m 38 on Sitka.
@@akernoutdoors9282 Thanks man! I ended up going with a 38 so that is reassuring that I most likely got the right size. Thanks for getting back!

I wouldnt wear this shit if it was free.
And why’s that?
Ridiculously overprice
Can you elaborate?
@@akernoutdoors9282 can't afford it, so bashes anyone that buys it and calls it overpriced. Form of insecurity.
