My respect for people who devote their whole time for really niche small business and do it with passion is immeasurable.
Exactly
my friend did the same thing, he quit his high 6 figure computer engineering job to open up a burger joint that barely makes ends meet. but he loves it and said its the most fun he's ever had ever since becoming an adult.
i'd like to have the balls to do it
yep
My respect for this reply
Beautiful blend of being proud of one's own culture while respecting the culture of the foreign country one is in. I think this also shows how welcoming japanese people can be to those who show respect.
We see this in most countries, unfortunately I hear from traveling and different cultures that Muslims are not respectful of other cultures.
@@maxiversal890Lol you must have heard wrong. Ask the people who went to Qatar for the world cup and what hospitality they did. Also why blame a whole Religion instead of culture. Just shows the ignorance you hold within you...
@@M.saeed247 You are failing to account for one extremely important variable - radius of public observability. During the world cup in Qatar, the eyes of the world were on them (public observability was greater) and therefore people might have changed their behavior towards foreigners because their was a larger reputational cost for deviating, in comparison, to smaller instances where one off interactions have a lower reputational cost on cross cultural moral universalism. While I unlikely will have data to test this hypothesis, the pre-existing work on this topic is pretty overwhelming towards what I stated above initially.
@@M.saeed247in the Islamic world, region and culture are so knotted up by the teachings of the Prophet (loosely) that they become functionality the same. Intolerant, repressed, and fearful.

As a born and raised french guy I would definitely eat there, looks really authentic.
Not to mention that his funny and cheering attitude is pretty rare in France, especially for a cook.
Likely, that is the reason he moved.
@@FreezyAbitKT7A People dont move out of their country simply because their attitude is different than the average person. Thats just silly.
It depends if you want to be a cook and that attitude is not tolerated there...well seems like an exceptional reason to move on to me. Of course you could just give up being a cook instead of moving, but clearly this guys heart is in it.@@DrummerJacob
@@DrummerJacob Well, I would say that most people that leave their origin country do for cultural and monetary reasons.

Respect to this man so much. I adore the attitude to make costumer enjoying their day.
And in turn I think he enjoys interacting with people this way everyday, with his food making everyone happy, which is what fuels his enthusiasm that you can see in his face. Good for him finding happiness and freedom this way.

I agree but it doesn't look like a food stall if you want to sit down and just enjoy your meal in peace and quiet.

Cet homme me fait rêver, vraiment. Bravo.

A very inspiring person who works creatively. Please note that whenever a video is dedicated to the work of a person who is passionate about his work, everyone admires him, regardless of any criteria (nationality, race, faith, favorite ice cream, etc.) imposed on us by the environment. I wish everyone to admire the people of labor as much as this hardworking man!
totally agree !
I love the enthusiasm of the french chef. The cooking looks good as well ❤thank you for work for filming this :)

It's too bad you all cannot taste his authentic bread....delish:) love visiting his yatai when we visit Fukuoka. Still great food! hope to see you soon Remi!!
Nice one. What happened to the fella who worked with him before pandemic??
I visited this stall a few months ago because of these videos. It was a fun experience since the workers tried to get everyone to interact with one another. Usually Japanese people ignore the tourists, but they were very chatty in this stall. Fun night! The food was alright, not my style, but everything else was great
Japan can be a lonely place sometimes. Perhaps, the customers here are more interested in the experience rather than just the food. They may be attracted to the opportunity of interacting and socialising with foreigners. It's a food stall and a host club lol.
My sister lives in Japan forever now, she doesn't hardly speak English anymore. That's actually my point, you need to learn Japanese to interact with them, if not you will get ignored in any country by others if you don't speak the language, but you probably know this since you was there. BTW that's some type of hybrid French cuisine, street mixed with a lower class French restaurant on the east side of Paris, far east
You can see in his eyes the timers for everything cooking even whilst chatting with customers, THAT is a chef.
food stall culture in japan is such another kind of beast, the chefs not only cook but also have to converse with the clientele and kind of keep them engaged for the night
His little mobile snack bar is really great and has a certain charm that I really like.
His good mood and the way he interacts with the guests is really nice to see. This little humor that he occasionally incorporates into conversations is the perfect spice it needs.
I like that he brought a piece of his home with him with these smaller French dishes and that the Japanese like it so much. It's really something different.
To do this in his own country would be admirable. To do this in Japan of all places is an amazing accomplishment!
