@@Maryweather28-fy8jj that must have been indescribably humiliating to Daniel. Karate in the 80’s in central California was popular like football then. I was a kid back then and understood how people thought back then. Here’s my take: Like Johnny to his group, they had the impression Daniel was their leader to look up to in the group when telling the guy trying to console him he was an expert in karate some time ago.. Their assumptions were gone after the fight leaving them ashamed based on their expectations of Daniel. You can say it was a shallow friendship based on that rather than just because or for who he was. You can call those “fairwhether friends”. People are less harsh and insensitive in those respects nowadays.
@@pollycronopolis7648 I was wondering one reason why Freddy left and stopped being his friend was because Daniel acted to Freddy like he was a badass fighter. When really Daniel hadn't had that experience when Daniel said he's been doing it for a while.
But IV been thinking that say Daniel was a badass fighter, just as good as Johnny and and had been training for years, but Johnny beat him anyway. Whould Daniel still get left behind and they not be his friends anymore thought the movie?
@@Maryweather28-fy8jj he thought Daniel was cool not for his personality necessarily but what he thought he could do. He would’ve stayed friends with him no doubt if it never happened. The funny thing is I’m sure Freddy wanted to buddy up with him again after he won the tournament against Johnny but Daniel wouldn’t have given him the chance after what he saw. He would still be nice to them but limit his talk with them keeping it short and sweet every now and then lol

If you flirt with a girl or boy who had only been broken up for a week, you have every right to. In fact you have every right to kiss him or her if she or he wants you to. But Ali said weeks so who knows how long she meant? Jhonny was being a jerk and aggressive so I could care less if Ali and Jhonny got back together. Ali said weeks so they had been broken up for at least two weeks but who knows? Yes it should be respected but still Daniel did not flirt with someone else's girlfriend. Daniel Berly knew what was happening. He hadn't even met Johnny until that night.

When Daniel first flirted with Ali he didn't even know that Johnny existed? Daniel has every right to flirt with Ali because Ali and Johnny were no longer a couple. Daniel didn't do anything wrong. Ali didn't want Johnny around in the first place, so Daniel had every right to step in. And Daniel only stepped in after Johnny threw the radio to the ground.

The timing was really bad for Daniel to meet Allí….if it was to be real life. Reason being is because that just so happens to be when Johnny was trying to patch things up with Allí after a huge argument they had, leading to her wanting to break up with him. Then Daniel steps in the way by meeting Allí. It isn’t Daniel’s fault, and Johnny was angry and heart broken. The timing was just bad. But of course, Daniel’s “so-called” friends ditch him because he got his ass kicked after they egged him on to fight, which wasn’t right.
Bobby was my favorite of the bad guys he had a heart.

Split hairs with me all you want, Johnny nearly killed Daniel on two different occasions. All Daniel did was pop him in the nose once at the beach and soak him with a hose to stop him from getting high in the bathroom.
But you go right ahead and keep thinking Johnny is the hero of the film. I don't have time for people who make excuses for would be murderers.
And also the "I'll decide when he's had enough" line when Daniel was clearly unable to STAND, much less fight back, shows you just how far Johnny was willing to go. If not for Miyagi, Daniel would have either been hospitalized or dead where he stood.
To be fair, Daniel did bring this on himself. He should've stayed out of it especially when it wasn't any of his business.

Daniel didn't provoke JOhnny into breaking the radio, and he also did nothing to justify being beaten down. HE stood up for someone who needed standing up for. I would have done no less in his situation.

People say, "oh, but Daniel was the real victim..." However, I respectfully disagree. If a person has so many enemies in such a short timespan, it's time to assess who the real aggressor is. A single enemy is understandable, two, raises an eyebrow; but having three enemies all in succession and all wanting to destroy him is a pattern. All of his enemies have one commonality between them: they've all encountered Daniel's toxic and vengeful personality.
Look at Cobra Kai, he goes on to physically attacking that car dealership owner because he couldn't stand the competition. Then later, when Johnny was trying to re-establish himself as a legitimate business owner to try and better his life; LaPusso pettiness and jealousy got every store owner's rent increased at that strip mall simply because he wanted revenge. Who does that, seriously?
It's really a shame, because Miyagi likely died a premature death over the constant BS that Daniel subjected him to...

This part is sad because Johnny ends up basically trying to do the same thing again later in life due to the influence of the people he grew up with to Daniel. Luckily, Daniel’s wife prevented them from hurting each other again and they ended up understanding one another, especially because Johnny left Cobra Kai

When Daniel asked what’s going on was he being sarcastic? Like wasn’t it obvious what was going on? So when he said that was he basically telling Johnny to chill? If yes Was it right that he did that like being sarcastic with him? Like because it probably just made Jhonny more upset. Like how like how did Daniel mean no harm when he was sarcastic?

Johnny was at fault here, all the way. Imagine you meet a girl you really like...hanging out with here a couple hours...and a guy shows up, gets in her face and takes her phone (updated to 2024 lol) and then throws it down, breaks it. I would hope you would step in.. I know I would. Yeah it's not gonna end well 4 on 1 but still. And johnny shoves him first.

In the deleted scene he ran over his leg with the motorcycle and then dragged him by that leg on the back of his bike through the water until he passed out after getting a jellyfish stuck to his head. They should have kept it in the movie

Funny to look back at this scene & there's a lot to actually process. Johnny & Dutch literally adding 'salt' to the wound when they sprayed Daniel with sand as they left on their bikes, Johnny making sure to run over Ally's radio after already destroying it, etc. and at 5:11, Bobby suddenly seeming concerned that the new kid might really be hurt. I always thought though it was weird how the kids Daniel had just met ditched him and interesting how superficial Ally's friends were to also just - ditch him in the sand.
I think with Cobra Kai (show) it's what makes Daniel kind of the way the is of course, PTSD from being bullied. Barnes was IMHO somehow more violent in pt 3 so yeah, I get Daniel's hatred of it. A shame though they couldn't have Bobby on it more, he was the only one from then that didn't seem like as big of a jerk.
