Lemme being honest, I was even surprised by Nayeon's attitude at sixteen era( Don't attack me, I have seen all episodes of sixteen and I'm a once too) , She was very confident everytime even others are shaking in fear . Like she already knew what's going to happen. But let's leave it , it is a past.
I understand Nayeon's attitude during the sixteen era because they were competing in a survival show so there's extra pressure put on the contestants just so they can win and debut, Nayeon being the eldest contestant and having a failed debut, well of course she'd be this competitive (this could've been her last shot to debut). I think the show just brought out her worst sides due to the environment they were in and all the extra pressure and hardwork they had to go through.
this is so dumb… for nayeon, in sixteen era, she was clearly evil edited. You could see that the others really liked her, and twice even talked about being close with nayeon since sixteen era. Let’s not lie here.
Most of these shows are heavily edited and sometimes the staff even purposely agitate or aggravate the idols just to get the reaction they wanted to capture. Most people off camera say she's a nice person and her members have no problem being around her. I think before raising pitchforks we should keep an open mind to look at more perspectives
About Winter, the members call her caring and say that she takes care of them and cooks for them when they get sick. She just gets awkward being all cheesy in the camera, and she only plays around with people she really likes. Wtf are wrong with these netizens?😭 And just because she doesn't keep on complimenting the other members, that doesn't mean she doesn't like them or anything. She is just shy giving out compliments to others. And she is probably one of the most brutally honest idols out there. Some of such idols are Tzuyu, Lucas, Jessica, Krystal,Jisoo and more.
And these are idols people often have so much negative things to say about cause they don’t bow down to people and just do whatever they say or be however way they want them to be, people complain about fakeness but when idols are real and themselves people also have an issue with it, they don’t seem to know wth they want from idols, they just seem to love to complain and find issues with people well i hope all them remain themselves and don’t change for anyone but themselves cause all them are some of favs cause of their realness
Sometimes certain fans read far to much into otherwise harmless interactions, falsify evidence by chopping up/editing video clips as proof, maliciously attack idols for showing any emotion that isn't happy, spread misinformation like wild fire and I can go on. This witch hunting isn't for all scenarios clearly but it does happen a lot for both male and female idol groups, for example a simple play fight then suddenly the masses are saying one group member in particular b*llies their other group members. 😃 I swear certain fans never learn, yet want to speak about an idols mental health like they're not contributing to worsening it to begin with.
I agree, but I do understand that when a group member you like gets teased in a rude way, it can look like the other is being mean. That whole “stealing” the crown thing seems silly; she’s messing with the other. I do agree that if Giselle won the game, she should have picked the sweaters; I think that’s unfair. And with Nayeon, I’m just tired of her getting way to much lines in Twice songs, because honestly it feels like it’s her songs with other Twice members being featured artists. I’m still baffled at why she needed a solo debut, when other members (Jihyo and Jeongyeon) should get it due to having less time in Twice songs anymore.

As a MY who is following aespa for a while now, I can say that Winter doesn't seem rude to me. Her interactions with the other members and with fans during fan meetings are either her joking around or being very nice and respectful. Saying she's rude because she gave Ning an ugly sweater is like saying your grandma is rude for giving you a piece of clothing that you don't like. Also, they were just having fun. And about the eye roll thing... Is she not allowed to be slightly annoyed at times? If I was forced to always look like my life is all sunshine and rainbows, I wouldn't enjoy that. Her life (an idol's life in general) is so much different from our lives and we don't know what goes on behind the scenes 24/7. But that's just my biased point of view. I don't think she's rude or an attention seeker. Just a little goofball here and there. And that's why I like her a lot!

I think u should know that Nayeon was so scared during Sixteen era that she used to cry holding Jeongyeon's hands in her dorm everyday like she was just a victim of bad editing. If you'll watch Sixteen then you'll see how she cried at every trainee's whether she was close with the person or not

Naeyon indeed had some superiority complex during early days of her career .. I remember during some kind of event they teamed her up with sungjin and some one else (i forgot who it was .. long time ago ) they made sungjin talk more but Nae 's responses where cold to his jokes and seem like Sungjin was also felt uncomfortable with that .. and it maybe because Day6 considered inferior to other groups in the company during those days .. but i won't blame her though .. she was too young to understand that ...
Nayeon and TWICE members constantly joke with each other and often times use rank as part of the joke. It’s harmless and they all laugh at it. If she was what they accuse her of being then they would not have lasted and thrived for the past 7 years. Watching them, you can see the love all members have for each other and it’s truly a wonderful sight to see. Their bond is magical. Once again it’s people writing their own narrative to bring the top GG down. Truly pathetic.

You are right but as a fan we have seen more of them. Not just some random heavily edited clips to make them look bad. We do watch the full showcase and know more than the evil edited videos. My only issue with Nayeon is that she gets too much time in songs. I’m not saying she’s not talented or whatnot, but that she gets majority of each title track, even more than Jihyo, who’s the main vocalist (and I know Twice vocals aren’t all SM like, but it’s odd in my opinion). I mean Jeongyeon also has the same position (Lead Vocalists) and honestly gets one part at the end and many a couple other parts, which is completely unfair. I feel like the rappers and lower vocalist get more than her. And I’m baffled at Nayeon getting a solo album (not just a single) when Twice songs anymore are Nayeon featuring Twice. I don’t hate, she’s an amazing singer, JYP just needs to put the visual mindset out of the way and let other members shine (like give Nayeon half the chorus and maybe a couple lines; that would help).

Pretty weak excuse from JYP for not fostering their artist’s talent for looks. And in Icon, that’s the only time she got way less lines ever, I think, and she still shined. Not arguing, I just think it’s odd to have 7 backup singers and dancers if you want to focus on a soloist that bad.
During Sixteen, there was a lot of evil editing on Mnet’s part (shocker) to make Nayeon the villain. However, during the show, you could see that the other trainees respected her and looked up to her. Nayeon was also the oldest trainee in the competition, had a failed debut, and has a driven and competitive personality. She takes her role as the oldest seriously and looks after the younger members.
I think that Winter's incidents are really meaningless..... There are many more idols who does even worse than her but they do not get any hate..... Probably because they are male idols, for example there is one idol in a very popular boy group who always rolls his eyes and pushes his face too much on the camera.... Despite not being the center, he prefers to stay in the front or in the center and doesn't even move from that spot.... He made several rude comments and always has that diva attitude when others were having fun but he was overlooked many times because of his enormous popularity..... There are many more idols like this, but it seems like people only point out at the female idols..... I am not even a fan of AESPA, but nitpicking everything they do is really childish and immature And that Nayeon case.... I do believe that she was so proud and had a lot of superiority complex..... I don't know why, maybe it's because she is the company's favorite for sure.... You’re right but just think, if twice members had beef they wouldn’t have renewed the contract. Literally all the members renewed the contract , it shows that they share a good bond with each other. We can’t judge everything based on some video clips you know how editing works.
I mean we don't know about their true personality.But in two cases maybe the things look different. In winters case,maybe that were fun presents for all of them or it was an idea of a staff member.That eye rolling could come from problems with eyes.I don't know if winter wears glasses or contacts but I had a classmate who riled his eyes when he looked to long on something.And he wore also glasses. I've seen someone saying similar about these colored contacts that idols usually wear, it was under a chopped up and edited video of Blackpink's Jennie being rude plus rolling her eyes at others. They're very drying as far as I've read and irritating to the eyes, but especially when they're dried out. Judging how long idols keep appearances or perform, I don't think changing or taking them out is an option.

I'm starting to get concerned. Why is there always something bad to say when it comes to female idols? I get drama sells but maybe edit your videos from a neutral perspective or maybe give background to why idols were like this. Getting people to feel a certain way with idols especially female idols is coming off as misogynistic. Everyone has good and bad days and we never see what happens behind the scenes. Also apart from negative comments online there doesn't seem to be much evidence to support most of your claims. They are in a group and not requred to be best friends. They might not like eacother, they might be super close friends. We don't live with any of them and don't know how they act when they are alone, what are their inside jokes, how their personalities really are ect... Oh my gosh, these 'fans' just read too much into their least favorite idols mannerisms and say something they think is right. Say what you want about Nayeon, being rude or evil, but since following them since the beginning of 2021, I have seen nothing but sunshine and rainbows from her in regards to those in her group. She may not be THE leader like Jihyo is, but she takes her mentor role seriously. Plus, her, Dahyun, and Momo (especially Momo) have a great relationship. Some of the funniest of moments between Twice is involving Nayeon, Momo, and Dahyun.
In my real life experience, majority of the beautiful non-celebrity people I've met aren't the nicest. They may not be pure evil but they're not nice, or if they act nice, it's more for their public image than natural kindness. they know they're beautiful and that beauty has power. Most of them (not all-i have met a few genuinely kind beautiful individuals) have a sense of superiority over average-looking people and they can get competitive against fellow beautiful people. i can't believe that ALL kpop idols are pure-hearted and kind just based on statistics. i don't know which ones are horrible and which are not, but i doubt that there's no real bully among them.

And winter did ask opinions on the sweaters. Like Twice those girls are close. And she has a good image from her group mates. But the thing is we have seen so many scripted clips of trainees pretending or doing something else so i can't even put finger on her either. If we see aespa's videos fully and not take them out of context, we will see that winter is actually very playful and teases other gurls but also doesn't overdo it. Lemme being honest, I was even surprised by Nayeon's attitude at sixteen era( Don't attack me, I have seen all episodes of sixteen and I'm a once too) , She was very confident everytime even others are shaking in fear . I understand Nayeon's attitude during the sixteen era because they were competing in a survival show so there's extra pressure put on the contestants just so they can win and debut, Nayeon being the eldest contestant and having a failed debut, well of course she'd be this competitive (this could've been her last shot to debut). I think the show just brought out her worst sides due to the environment they were in and all the extra pressure and hardwork they had to go through.

Most of these shows are heavily edited and sometimes the staff even purposely agitate or aggravate the idols just to get the reaction they wanted to capture. Most people off camera say she's a nice person and her members have no problem being around her. I think before raising pitchforks we should keep an open mind to look at more perspectives

As a MY who is following aespa for a while now, I can say that Winter doesn't seem rude to me. Her interactions with the other members and with fans during fan meetings are either her joking around or being very nice and respectful. Saying she's rude because she gave Ning an ugly sweater is like saying your grandma is rude for giving you a piece of clothing that you don't like. Also, they were just having fun. And about the eye roll thing... Is she not allowed to be slightly annoyed at times? If I was forced to always look like my life is all sunshine and rainbows, I wouldn't enjoy that. Her life (an idol's life in general) is so much different from our lives and we don't know what goes on behind the scenes 24/7. But that's just my biased point of view. My only issue with Nayeon is that she gets too much time in songs. I’m not saying she’s not talented or whatnot, but that she gets majority of each title track, even more than Jihyo, who’s the main vocalist (and I know Twice vocals aren’t all SM like, but it’s odd in my opinion).
I mean Jeongyeon also has the same position (Lead Vocalists) and honestly gets one part at the end and many a couple other parts, which is completely unfair. I feel like the rappers and lower vocalist get more than her.
And I’m baffled at Nayeon getting a solo album (not just a single) when Twice songs anymore are Nayeon featuring Twice. During Sixteen, there was a lot of evil editing on Mnet’s part (shocker) to make Nayeon the villain. However, during the show, you could see that the other trainees respected her and looked up to her. Nayeon was also the oldest trainee in the competition, had a failed debut, and has a driven and competitive personality. She takes her role as the oldest seriously and looks after the younger members.

I think that Winter's incidents are really meaningless..... There are many more idols who does even worse than her but they do not get any hate..... Probably because they are male idols, for example there is one idol in a very popular boy group who always rolls his eyes and pushes his face too much on the camera.... I've seen someone saying similar about these colored contacts that idols usually wear, it was under a chopped up and edited video of Blackpink's Jennie being rude plus rolling her eyes at others. They're very drying as far as I've read and irritating to the eyes, but especially when they're dried out. Say what you want about Nayeon, being rude or evil, but since following them since the beginning of 2021, I have seen nothing but sunshine and rainbows from her in regards to those in her group.
She may not be THE leader like Jihyo is, but she takes her mentor role seriously.
Plus, her, Dahyun, and Momo (especially Momo) have a great relationship. Some of the funniest of moments between Twice is involving Nayeon, Momo, and Dahyun.

In my real life experience, majority of the beautiful non-celebrity people I've met aren't the nicest. They may not be pure evil but they're not nice, or if they act nice, it's more for their public image than natural kindness. they know they're beautiful and that beauty has power. Most of them (not all-i have met a few genuinely kind beautiful individuals) have a sense of superiority over average-looking people and they can get competitive against fellow beautiful people. i can't believe that ALL kpop idols are pure-hearted and kind just based on statistics. i don't know which ones are horrible and which are not, but i doubt that there's no real bully among them.

I've noticed this as well. She especially seems to be targeting female idols the most. The amount of videos with male idols and the amount with female ones are vastly different.
