@@EmperialHails yep, x4 also. Just look online. Poor bloke has a 2022 x3 30i with 14,000 km. Immaculate. Practically new. Asking 66k and can't sell it. That car costs 111k new on road. I dunno, I actually quite like it. Initially, I was looking for reasons not to but in this guise I think it looks quite handsome compared to some other newer ‘designs’. It’ll certainly be a popular model in the range.
@ 12:40 Imagine buying a x3 because its a "luxury" brand then having to reach over from the boot to the rear seats to drop them when you need the 2nd row flat, not even a pull lever or button to drop them more conveniently.... yikes
the interior is so cheap now. all nice materials are gone and replaced with cheap nasty plastic. also no more opening sunroof. no more red interior option. you are paying more and getting less.
I own a 2022 X4 M40i and was disappointed to hear that BMW is discontinuing the X4s. I'd considered switching back to the X3, a previous favourite, but I'm not convinced about this new model. While the new X3's exterior appeals to me, I find the interior a big step down from what I'm accustomed to. Maybe it's time to consider other options in the market.
Flat, bloated and buck-toothed. Needs to be more sporty/aggressive. Cheap interior finishes. At least they kept the rotary knob. I really wanted to buy this gen X3 but it just doesn't meet my expectations.
I have the G01 m sport it’s coming up to 3yrs old and only got 1,445 miles on had it from new and I keep it like new , I will be keeping mine the new one looks ok but i prefer the G01
No 30D variant? The G01 X3 30D engine (6-cyl, 3.0L, 195kW 620Nm, 0-100 in 5.8s) is arguably BMW's most reliable engine. Also in X5 and X7, but more bulk/weight than in X3. None of the diesel rattle of the 4-cyl. My real world 6.1L/100 Km country, 9.2L city. No dramas after 6 years, so I will skip the G45.
I’m so happy to have purchased a 2023 it was my dream suv for so long. I’m just not sure about this new model. The dash is weird looking, the back looks too flat and why on earth doesn’t the sunroof open?!!
I like the side profile & the back; not too sure about the front... If you say the interior quality is not that great, it really puts me off. This car costs 2.1-2.2 mil CZK incl. VAT whereas an X5 50e with 10k km on the odo is 2.4 mil CZK incl. VAT (new 3.1-3.3 mil CZK). I was waiting for this X3 to come out to see the new stuff and the price, but I'm now convinced the X5 is the sensible buy here.
No diesels for Aust . 2 petrols confirmed, another 2 or 3 variants or so will likely eventually join the Aussie lineup , but BMW Aust so far have not lodged required docs for any oilers in the X3 range locally. An oiler possibly could join the range again at some stage, but so far it's not overly likely. The current diesel variants still accounted for about 15% or so give or take of total X3 Sales. Though BMW's HQ have made a range of petrol, diesel , PHEV engines available for BMW Aust etc , its BMW here that will make a final decision on what we will get. It's likely to be fairly limited. Locally BMW appear to be consolidating a number of models/variants .
Dune? More ugly exterior paint colors? Ugly "oval things" door handles? Cloth covered dash? Too much plastic, too much vegan, non-animal material in the interior. I'll bet all those 17 year old gamers that can afford a BMW think that interior looks awesome. I'll keep my '22 M40i for a long time.
non opening roof? whats the point of the pano sunroof if it doesnt open?...and they need to bring back night vision...and i think they should bring the Alpina x3 over to the US...at least we dont get that useless GPF that kills the sound...

A very controversial design. Civilian BMWs are now indistinguishable from M. The design of the M-style mirrors is very strange and the headlights too. Why are not all the lights on at the back, but only part of them? What will they do with X4 :( P.S. Where are the new M seats? The design of the triangular headrests is infuriating.
The headlights and that lower black piece on the front bumper is seriously not doing the car ant justice. Who ever is in charge at the design section of BMW is killing the brand. Gone are the days where one could look at a good looking BMW, cars like the E46. Today's BMW products have zero emotions and to make matters worst their engines don't even sound good, the V8 sounds like a 4 cylinder and bread and butter straight six sounds like a dying goat. Pull out one got dents and dings all over them rather than the door itself, so that's not being spoken about enough either.

I'm surprised theres no more 30i variant, that seems like the sweet spot for most people

Terrible plastic door handles! WTF.
And the edge protection in the trunk also now plastic…
Having now seen the new generation X3, I still prefer the Mercedes GLC range.
Yes!!!!!!
The design is definitely for the younger generation and a great shift to change the monotone classic BMW design
Agree 100%
no open sunroof
cost cutting everywhere... no way that this is premium. come on bmw
I would like to suggest to BMW designers to reduce the size of that grill, interiorly maintain some classic dashboard design
Can you turn off the safety at a touch of a button?
Yes by pressing a button ✅ on steering wheel
Looks stunning, it will warm to a lot of people, great review too 😊
Price 🤔
That's unlikely to surface until closer to its arrival. We'll keep you posted.
