Great review......went to see a B62 on a whim on our way back from Scotland to Manchester....... we were really impressed..... FRED😂😂 arrives in three weeks😊😊
If you want storage. We've run two Horizon Unlimited Innovations in the past. Innovation 1 was a 5m Transit 4 seater, 2 berth with a 2ft deep 'garage' across the back, under the kitchen worktop. We had a custom made two dog crate in there. We had dog grooming table, folded puppy pen, two Isabella chairs etc on top of the dog crate. There was also a proper Thetford toilet on board. The Innovation 3 was the medium wheelbase Transit with same config, just a deeper 'garage' to use the extra length. It's a shame that no mainstream PVC converter has sought to develop that config.
Thank you, great video, I like them both amazing value, I think you can spec a 170 engine as an upgrade. I prefer the B64 for the layout of the lounge, it seems lighter and brighter without the wardrobe, fridge and bathroom positioned immediately behind the driver's seat. I wonder where the ladder to the pop top bed is stored during transit? I think these will become very popular and it will be interesting to see how Bailey tweaks the design as these two models bed in. Hope your Sven arrives soon, you must be champing at the bit by now!!!!!
Thanks again for a nice info tube, nice layout, original. Pity they are not sold go Belgium. Almost gas free, Super, good, really good info and thoughts, thanks
I think Bailey have done a fantastic job on these two vans. The bathroom door is a bit of a faff, but the merits are enough that it makes the faff worth it and regular use would make one soon get used to it. I can't help but feel that a microwave in place of the oven would be far more useful. The same applies to the Bailey Discovery caravan lineup that interestingly uses the same design of cushion. The Phoenix range upwards of caravans have both, so that's fine.
How about a microwave to make life easy, not over sure about the shower/toilet door and that bit of carpet it's very Heath Robinson. The rest of the van is good, would prefer the layout of the b64 minus the pop top.
Not sure on the insulation but on the Bailey website they do talk about the prototype trips that the Endeavour has had including many sub zero overnights etc. One to ask at the show if you're there. Sven will be here soon :)
Looked around this at the last NEC show. Think it’s a great first attempt, but unless they intend making a fixed bed with decent storage underneath we can’t add to our list of future replacement options.
Hi 👋, we have been considering the swift trekker and the endeavour b64. I know the swift has the sca pop top. Do you know if the Bailey Endeavour b64 has the sca roof? We are also considering the Elddis cv80 however we have heard of a few water ingress issues with the pop tops. Wondered if you had any insights or thoughts on pop top quality. Thanks 😊
Thanks! Love the Nugget. The 2024 one with the new base vehicle Transit should be an absolute winner. As you'll know we're a massive fan of Westfalia conversions / models too so this is a great option
Excellent review, thanks 👍 We checked the Endeavour B62 out yesterday. Currently loving our VW T6.1 camper but the space and functionality of the Bailey is very appealing. However we use our VW as a daily driver / 2nd family car, so wondering how practical the high top / 1m longer Endeavour would be as a daily driver. Any thoughts on that? Are you using the Sven as a daily driver or weekender / holiday van only?
There’s no doubt it’s bigger and therefore more constraints (height as well as length). We don’t use our Sven as a daily driver, but we didn’t use the Cali as one either. The biggest challenge with a 6m van is finding parking spaces where you can overhang the back when you reverse in so it isn’t sticking out. However, the space, fixed bed and bathroom in the Sven make the compromise worth it for us - it feels very decadent having been used to a Cali for years :)
@@CampervanTime Thanks, appreciate the response. Much to think about, like everything there are pros and cons, the VW T6.1 is such a versatile vehicle but when you see the space (and yes, decadence!) with slightly larger vans, it’s difficult to look back. Enjoy the Sven.
@@pmkeith I paid £24,990 for my first house in 1995. It was a 3 bed semi with front garden with a drive way and a large back garden. I never got around to building a garage but I did enjoy the double glazing and oil fired central heating. I sold that house for £133,000 in 2007, just before the market crash but the price would be about the same today. Unlike the campervan prices!
No that’s right from what we’ve seen. You have two singles down below and then the ladder out for the pop top. Obviously you could make the double up once people are up in the top but you wouldn’t have any way of getting them down !
We went to see them there on Sunday , but we’d ordered from Louth ( better deal) the week previously. We were very pleased thankfully, particularly with the quality of the Ford cab. Couldn’t run to a Crafter, didn’t want anything wider, nor a Fiat , so a very limited choice. Only very very marginally disappointed in the not so very contemporaryness 🤔 of it . Just another wait now 🤦🏻♂
B62 . Would’ve had a grand but we don’t really like that layout for us. Lead time is not bad , demos are coming out in Feb , we expect May but there’s a chance of April🤞@@CampervanTime
I really like the B64. Couple of questions - is there space for things like an inflatable paddle board or chairs without just storing them in the main corridor. Also, the brochure mentions the upgraded 12inch touch screen infotainment system but these models didn't appear to have them?
I think these were final pre-production vans so might not have had the full spec as per the brochure (like the B62 having the underslung gas rather than an internal bottle). Storage might be the compromise on these layouts but maybe use the bathroom to store things when travelling or a towbar mounted box?
Needs to be based on an EV with no gas and having loads of PV panels to be worth the sums asked. Carpet is pointless but the layout of the B62 works well.
I do like the 2 berth layout. I'm going to the NEC show & would to change my 5 year old Transit Custom factory converted from new Camper van for something like this. I'm really put off by having to try & deal with Salespeople that come across as a greedy Second hand car sellers (the ones that have to go off & talk to their Boss before they offer you rubbish money for your really clean low mileage FSH van). Things should be so different. A bit of honesty & transparency is needed to build confidence for the buyer.
Couldn’t agree more and choosing a good dealer to work with (who is also likely to retail your part ex) is so important. There are good ones out there 👍
@@CampervanTime My Columbus is being built now too. Very late considering it is still the 23 version. Looks like Westfalia is building all the UK back orders at the same time after countless delays. I think you’ll be lucky to get it in early March as transport can also be delayed. I think both our vans will be on the same boat!
We were originally told Sep/Oct 2023 for collection so it is very delayed. We know it’s built, just about to be shipped to the UK and we’ve booked the collection date at Wandahome so hopefully 🤞🏻 it’ll come good!
Bailey were terrible when our caravan developed damp, probably from a manufacturing issue. Lost thousands of pounds & it was an ongoing nightmare for months, would not recommend dealing with them for any product.
When you first showed the front it looked lovely but who ever designed the shower toilet room it is not workable, so you have to completely close the door to use the bathroom and when you open the sliding door it then pushes you out the bathroom. The rest of the van is lovely but 100 watt panel and a 92amp battery are not enough to wild camp.dos it have B-B charging ? Nice van but bathroom design is terrible.
My HOUSE made with bricks and mortar, cost far LESS than these tin boxes ‼️ I also have a tin box on wheels with a blow up bed, sleeping bag, pillow and a toilet ... 💯
A particularly good layout. Bathroom is tenuous. And also can get into the back of the van just by removing seat cushions. Love it. Shame I don’t want to afford a new one. All vehicles are the same - enormous depreciation loss (mostly thanks to HMRC) the second you drive it off the forecourt. Just like cars, I will always buy second hand - preferably privately from an owner who has looked after the vehicle.
I popped down to Lowdhams the other day as it's 2 minutes from me; wanted to take a look at them before they get busy when taken to the show in Feb. I was very impressed with them both. DJI Mic 2's sounding good!
70,000 pounds for what a very “base” model. And does this exclude or include VAT? One of the biggest “cons” of the motorhome conversion market is presenting prices without VAT. A 70,000 pounds excluding VAT product will cost you an additional 14,000 pounds thanks to the parasites who run HMRC. With “additional extras” the price can easily end up exceeding 90,000 pounds. So when comparing products - make sure you know what the real prices are and what you are really getting.
I feel a touch of the Emperors new clothes coming on…..is nobody shouting out loud that the latest camper vans (converted vans) are a ridiculous price now. Motor homes are also far too expensive for the regular buyer unless you hitch yourself up to a lengthy finance deal. My motor home was expensive enough and I suspect I’m not alone in saying that I’m not parting with mine to lose value on that and take on unacceptable finance. Come on industry when will you wake up to the fact that vans are unaffordable for most, no matter how many LED lights and foldaway this and that you include.
Just to add. I dont belive the Ford offers a Galvanised body. The Ducato is fully galvanised, even the Merc Sprinter is only partially Galvanised. Guess what van is going to rust in not time?

I’m sure that bathroom door would last at least a couple of weeks before it’s fkd. 👍
With a lot of dust in the air (Spain beach) , it worked flawlesslee for 3 weeks . Good result for modern campervans.
