Calico Flower Studio is a space for reflecting on art + life through the lens of mixed media. I'm Dani Michaux Samson - your humble artist and host. I create abstract, analog mixed media collages with an array of materials that I have collected over the years.
On this channel, you will find that my process is laid back and light on the tutorial front. I'm more of a "think-out-loud" kinda gal. You might hear some tips on technique, but my ultimate goal is to bring you into the mind of an artist and provide a peaceful and thought-provoking experience. Sort of like an art vlog. No expertise necessary.
PS - All completed artworks are approved by my feline studio assistants, Dahlia and Clover. They will often stop by to check on me while I’m filming, so look out!
