"Easy to Slip Away;" hearing that makes me feel like I've come home. Not sure yet what that means, but the feeling is real. Maybe the realization that I was hearing Peter Hammill for the first time around the same time this concert was recorded.

"TIme for a Change" is a better version here than on ph7.

One of the best singer/songwriters still breathing...new Vdgg is a little lackluster without Jackson....

      I agree 100%

I disagree 100% on your point about David Jackson. I think that "A grounding in numbers" and "Do not disturb" are fresher and more dynamic than "present" that had D.J. in the band.

      @@TGcommentsNo, they are not.

@@xyz-md2mv Well, OK but when you consider the content of "Present" compared to their earlier work you can see that VDGG didn't have much mileage left in their original format. Maybe "A grounding in numbers" and "Do not disturb" don't compare favourably with "Godbluff", "Pawn Hearts" and "Still Life" in nostalgic terms but it's clear that if VDGG were going to continue it had to be something new. The newer albums are as good as the older ones in musical terms IMO.
