    Thanks again for making this.
    After fitting Level 2 Rally Raid with the heaviest springs they have and adding these mods I have the Ultimate CRF300L Rally. I've been flogging it daily and hitting single track whenever I can.
    It can really compete now.
    Raced a DRZ400SM with a slip on this past weekend and we were neck and neck all the way up until 70mph. We also did some urban exploring and I was right behind him the whole time.
    I have my little unicorn now. Just need a Standard non-DCT Africa Twin for longer trips on interstate and I will be happy for years to come.

    Thanks for posting this, especially the airbox velocity stack bit. I saw lots of other version that were SUPER hackish. I had already made a similar template when I fond this video, which gave me the pointers I needed to complete mine in a couple of hours with minimal fuss. All the bolt holes lined back up, boot is fully seated on the throttlebody, and only used a bead of permatex ultrablack around the exterior seam.

I look forward to all of your collective videos because you're all serious and take it up to the next level. I relate you Shonky Productions because a lot of our off roading and backcountry riding is similar in NZ. To date your modifications have been on track with what I want and you do it with enthusiasm. This was a bloody interesting episode....I see a comment below about Jake the Garden Snake's same mod which was as the comment said, questionable. I haven't had time to check that video as to if his ecu was modified to suit. It goes to show, people take these videos seriously. Obviously there's a difference in power but that narrows significantly on the dirt. After your Rallies, it will be interesting to see how the performance mods translate to general trail riding and adventure touring. NO, with the 550performance tune you actually gain low end torque over the standard setup and gain lots more up high. The standard bike is tuned very lean to pass emissions test around the world.

      @ezekielchariot Год назад

      @@ShonkyProductions Yeah I fitted one of those Sunstar 15T drive sprockets, I'm assuming you had the same issue I have with fitting the plastic drive sprocket cover back on, attached to that plastic is a half round metal support ring which interferes it seems at the top and bottom where it needs to slip over the highest points of the chain links, I have marked two areas that I will die grind metal off that support ring so once over the chain side links, it should then align with the centre of the chain clearing the chain rollers by a greater distance than the side links, so less fear of parts contacting.
      Luckily, allowing the rear axle to slip forward to it's minimum travel, this was just enough to get the sprocket in without removing the rear wheel axle. I checked and got a reference of the original chain slack ( brand new bike ) before fitting and replicated that after the new sprocket was in place.
      Sunstar 15T sprocket Part No. 36115 for those interested. Just wanted longer legs for the highway as I have 550ed it.

    • @ShonkyProductions

      I don't think Jake had the 550performance ECU. You need the ignition modified to make more power/torque, not just fuel. I don't think he changed the intake manifold either. Just adding the cams will not help if you haven't changed the restrictive intake manifold.
