  • Sorry to disappoint you again, guys. There's absolutely ZERO Selunite dialogue options while talking to Aylin in our camp after everything. I'm actually shocked, because we see our goddess' daughter and we remain indifferent as Selune cleric. Aylin is also indifferent about Selune cleric rescuing her. Larian dropped the ball with this one, hard.

I love Aylin. At first, clerics are perceived kind of weak, due to Shadowheart's story - she's constantly worried that her goddess disapproves of everything she does, constantly feels pain for actions/choices made outside of her influence (like when we're Tav or Durge making decisions and she feels pain), and the more she tells you the less appealing it seems to be a cleric. And then you meet a daughter of a goddess that constantly says "What will you DO, not what will happen to you / You are a woman who knows what must be done / It is up to you, same as always" and you realise Nah, it's Shar who's messed up. When Selune's own daughter tells you "ALLOW the Moonmaiden to guide you" - that says a lot. Allow. Not obey, not switch, not follow - just know, if you allow her, she will guide you whenever you need it, that's all. I'm in awe.

That's very disappointing. There are over 10 gods you can follow and the ones that are relevant for the story get not enough attention or dialog option. But it is great that you make these videos. Keeps probably many people from investing too much time with such playthroughs. So thank you.

There was so much potential 😔

And there was also no special interaction with Isobel as a Selûnite cleric? How disappointing...

Only one Selunite dialogue option when we met her for the first time and after that, nothing. Very disappointing.

I am kind of mad shadowheart doesn't try to murder you one time for being a selunite

Well, I mean, she does if you don't trust her when you discover Aylin - which, btw, seems natural for me not to. If I was a Selune cleric and found her daughter, I think I'd free her no matter what, and I would not trust a Shar cleric who has to kill her to fulfill a dream of becoming Dark Justiciar; even if she romances me (which she openly admits she does to turn me to Shar's side).

She tries to kill Lae'zel, she should at least try to kill you once since your goddess despises everything selune@@olgabahirkina1286

Shes a trickery cleric. Alone she cant finish the journey. Others cant lead with their lack of leadership. So what she do is to tolerate Selune worshipper at first.

Yea sadly Larian seems to have dropped most faith related content besides some instances left over seemingly from EA in Act 1.

I miss some of the early access banter you get from certain companions depending on the quests....
like with astarion laughing at mayrina's face/reaction during the hag quest
or shadowheart asking you why you shielded astarion from the GUR

Agree. Companions are completely lifeless during some important moments. I much more prefer how in others rpgs companions comment even during not important situations. Pathfinder games, Pillars of Eternity, even older rpgs like Dragon Age and Mass Effect. In all those games companions always had some nice input, all of the current party, not just one randomly picked companion like in bg3. In bg3 SOMETIMES they comment, but it's usually just one short generic sentence and it's purely random who will speak.

The only difference I see is that you don't have to passively roll a Religion/Intelligence check to remember the rite. Sometimes main characters fail and don't have the narrator's line. As a Selune cleric, you'd know, the moment you see that scene that she was a Selunite.
