Christ, that would only be half way through its service life in Australia! Probably would have just been refurbished and gone back into traffic

In the UK most buses last 15 or 20 years service life before being scrapped some even last longer if in very good condition

Well in Poland 581 000 km it’s still a new bus and many companies buy them from scandinavia ;) They operate for next years on our roads but inter-city buses are not very popular so the companies don’t have money to buy and maintain the bus. They mostly buy articulated older buses from germany or some mercedes series O407/408/550 and run them 2-3 years until something die and repairing them cost too much.

It's not that old, but not new either - at least not here. :)

@@KimB10M Yeah. If it's well maintained, which it seems to be, it can be sold on to provide operators that do schools and excursions

@@MH-hy2ot There are no buyers for them. Buses in Denmark operates 10-12 years in service, then most of them are scrapped. Back in the early 2010s, we had loads of buses in Copenhagen that only worked 6-7 years. Some of them were exported, but the majority were scrapped. Today it's impossible to export them, there are simply no demand for them.

@@KimB10M in Portugal, here in Braga where you've been once, we just purchased some Volvo 8700LE from Norway, as this country is desperate to get rid of early 2000s material...so there might still be some demand for such type of buses

@@KimB10M In East Europe. let me say Poland, romania and bulgaria, they drive Euro 2 busses. and have probably 2 million on the mileage. so yeah. and the government in here (West Europe) cries for Climate change and switch to electric.
And the bus companies here buys Ebusco, BYD electric crap from China. I'm curious, can these busses last 1 million?

Why? The bus is in near perfect condition and has plenty if life left.
