What if the opponent pushes you non-lasso leg through and just goes to side control?

Be aware of that possibility and as soon as they do egg roll into omaplata, you can look up “lasso to omaplata” for good examples

shouldn't be possible if your lasso is still in. if they do you are able to do the "lasso bait" sweep.
