Oh baby Oh man You're making me crazy Really driving me mad That's alright with me It's really no fuss As long as you're next to me Just the two of us You're my, my, my, my kind of woman My, oh my, what a girl You're my, my, my, my kind of woman And I'm down on my hands and knees Begging you please, baby Show me your world Oh brother Sweetheart I'm feeling so tired Really falling apart And it just don't make sense to me I really don't know Why you stick right next to me Wherever I go You're my, my, my, my kind of woman My, oh my, what a girl You're my, my, my, my kind of woman And I'm down on my hands and knees Begging you please, baby Show me your world
Dylan Hernandez I was struggling with the second chord and I think I know what he did. The tabs show to move the fourth finger from the tenth fret of the E string to the eighth fret, which is kinda impossible unless you have a really flexible finger. After watching the video a few times I noticed he took his fourth finger off completely. I started playing around and if you do that and move the index finger to the E string of the 8th fret then you get the right chord. Hope that made sense lol I’m a guitar newbie
Dylan Hernandez because he’s using a capo. if you’re using a capo sometimes you can just play the tabs like you would regularly even though the capo is technically but not physically changing the placement of the frets. so since the capo is on the second fret, after the capo placement, it’s now the first fret. so if you’re playing 10 on the e string without the capo that will just be the 10th fret but if you play the 10 on the e string with the capo on the secondary fret you go down two frets which is the 12th fret. but not all tabs do that, most times you can just regularly play the frets as if there isn’t a capo and still call it the 10th fret, but technically with the capo on second it’s now the 12 fret. basically whenever the capo is that’s where you mentally replace the frets and start off one one with the first fret. i hope this wasn’t too confusing or too long 😂 i’m just trying to explain it in different ways so maybe you can understand.
For the first chord of the lead part: if you’re having trouble keeping the bar with your index finger, try switching your index over to the high E on the pull off while simultaneously muting the string that becomes open with your middle finger. Still sounds the same and is a bit easier.. hope this helps some.
Definitely a struggle. Thought I had nimble enough fingers for most challenges, but this one is a bit rough... just need more practice and technique. I'll give your suggestion a try. (Though... is it the same as the demo version of this song? That's really what I'm wanting to play.)
Hey i really need help can someone show me this whole part 5:07 but in chords and where to play it at i can't really read tabs but i really want to play this song like i just need to know where to put my fingers!!
Honestly you couldn't possibly play cmaj7 on first try And more over, you couldn't play it genuinely You hands aren't used to hold such long-stretch chords Change my mind
For anybody playing the chord version who wants it to sound a little more melodic at the start of the song play D Major, D7, and then play the C Major 7 but mute the e string. The chords should roughly sound like the intro melody of the song
Thanks man this helped a lot! All of your lessons are very clear, accurate, just really on point. If you get the time I'd love to learn Blue Boy from Mac's Salad Days album.
Keep the lessons coming please! Would love if you could do another Mac Demarco lesson for Blue Boy. Maybe more specifically in the style of his Pickathon performance? Thanks!
Just found an alternative whilst messing around. E: 8 B: 10 G: 8 D: X A: X E: X you Substitute the lower note, but hopefully it should still ring through as you change chords. it's a lot easier playing it this way and i dont think it sounds bad.
Hey I'm having trouble with the cords on the second guitar, I dont understand how you are getting the e8 string on the second cord, sorry if its confusing but if anyone sees this can someone help me out please
I find it very hard too, I think he’s barring it with his pointer finger, which I find impossible. It’s a lot easier if you don’t play the g string in the first 2 cords but it sounds a bit off
Thank you! Great breakdown, but I think the lead patterns for verse are 981010 to 9888 and then 7577 to 7555. Watching some live performances this is what it appeared like to me. What do you think?
