A counterpoint to the last one is having cards that mirror your commander lets you be less dependent on your commander to be the main engine of the deck. Otherwise I would run a heavy suite of protection pieces for your commander.
While I agree you shouldn’t be reliant on your commander the point of having a commander is that you will always have access to it. Therefore, keeping duplicate effects to a bare minimum is ideal. In fact your commander should ideally be the only of its effects in your deck BUT it shouldn’t be the only way your deck can function/win
Rocco street chef, once you play him once or twice, you realize you can't rely on others playing the exiled card and need to run these effects yourself. Also extra landdrop cards help a lot
