Hi, the flashing red light means your batteries are low. Replace them with high quality AA alkaline batteries and your camera should work normally again :)
@LillyAmethyst it's definitely a battery issue make sure you use high quality alkaline batteries when you replace them (sometimes new batteries of lower quality will still give you a red light error).

The light on the front does not turn on at all, but the light by the viewfinder on the back lights up red. it does not flash, its a steady light. it will not take photos, pressing the shutter does nothing at all. it will not even eject the first blank photo that it should when loading new film. I have this one 3 years ago it stopped working and it has the constant flashing lights at the front problem no matter the batteries. I contacted the seller they told me to contact Fuji directly because the seller warranty was up but the producer one wasn't. And I never ever ever got a response from them no matter how many times I contacted them. The guarantee has now ended and I truly don't want to have to f*** out money when this barely worked for 6 months
Are there any other lights illuminated (for example the red light close to the viewfinder)? I would suspect it's a battery issue. If not, then it's worth reaching out to the supplier of Fujifilm directly to see if there's an issue with the camera.

Hmm that is strange. It sounds like the lens cover isn't fully open when you're taking normal pictures as it's working in selfie mode. Please manually check the lens cover is fully open, and also check your fingers aren't covering the flash or lens when taking a picture..

If the light is slow flashing it means the flash is still charging which is normal. If the light is repeatedly flashing slow then quick its mean the batteries need replacing. If the light is quick flashing it means there's an error and I would recommend taking it back to the dealer for inspection. I hope that helps!

It sounds like your film has been exposed to light which will damage it because it's light sensitive. You could try replacing it with a new film cartridge and see if that works but i suspect you'll have to take it to a Fujifilm dealer to get it repaired.

Hi Maria, you shoul replace the batteries only while the power is turned on. If you replace the batteries while the power is turned off (when the lens is retracted), the lamps on the brightness adjustment dial blink after turning on the power even with new batteries. If you try this and it still doesn't work it means a more serious issue has occurred and you should bring your Mini 9 to a dealer for further inspection.
My Camera is only blinking at the front, the first line is one, the other 3 blink. Film and batteries are new. (the lights in the front are orange) The back light dosent turn on. What can i do?

Have you checked your inserting the film correctly (with the 2 yellow tabs aligned and the shutter door fully closed)? Once you put new film in and click the shutter button the blank black film cover sheet should eject. If that's still not working double check you have used high quality alkaline batteries and failing that I would take it to a Fujifilm dealer for inspection. Good luck!
Have you switched the camera on and then clicked to take a photo? After that the blank film cover should eject from the film slot and then the S will change to 10..

That's really frustrating.. the red light is telling you that it's a low battery issue though so might be worth trying a different brand of batteries.

Sorry to hear that. It's very frustrating I can only suggest you try writing to Fuji again and appeal based on the fact they never responded.

The orange lights are still flashing after adding new batteries and also letting sit out for a bit. So the next best thing would be changing film yes?

mine keeps saying S instead of a nummber and i have only one light and its at the top richt where you can see what you photograph
