Thanks for this cause literally I've been searching for this polaride guide and all other people were " yeah pur batteries and click and all but none of them showed the really "how to take" pictures" like the environment influence and distance influence but u did and showed variety of pictures. Thanks to you that now I will be able to click beautiful pictures ❤️
this is such a helpful video!! it’s like an ultimate instax mini guide because you discussed all the important points really well, especially framing & exposure. thank you for this!! :)
thank you for this! for the reflective surfaces, I recently learned that it's because light travels so fast that the flash will hit the surface, bounce back and hits the light sensor, which makes it think that there's a lot of light, so it uses a faster shutter speed. it's worth experimenting by trying to cover the light sensor.
It’s funny how you do a bad photo but you still hang it up but this help was the best thank you so much for telling us facts because I didn’t know half of them
This Was soo helpful thanks I like such kinds of videos, keep them coming and I seriously don’t have enough words to thank you Love what you do here, and thanks for the great advice.
if this is too specific im sorry but i really want to take photos like the 1989 polaroid photos of taylor swift 😅 could you give any advice of how much light is let in/any way to recreate them/filters judging by the photos?
be in a room with the light on - not tons of sunshine but also not dark, main thing will be being against the white wall. I’d use the house setting. it won’t come out just like hers because hers was probably edited and taken by a different camera but that may be close n
Hey Mel, i got mine almost a year ago and the first roll of film was amazing! But with the second roll of film the first few pictures were amazing, the next shots however were bluish and then yesterday i took a sunset picture and it was totally black! Has this happened to you before? Is it a film issue? I tried everything they said online and my shutter and lighting setting dial seems to be fine 😭
Actually it came to my mind out of no where to try and save for one of those cameras and i've spent the last 4 hours searching and watching reviews, And i guess that this version is better than the 11 version in its exposure
Hello, this is the first time I see you and I loved you💕💕 Btw I have a question if I took a picture but I didn’t like it and I don’t want it to be printed, what should I do?
Thank you for the video and especially for showing all the examples! Seems like it is not that easy to always get a good photo. I wonder if I still should buy it for a wedding.. the film is also very expensive and it would be only me so far who knows how to change it.
i love the results of having printed photos but it definitely depends on how much you’d enjoy having the film after! i think it makes for a fun memory!
ty for this ! i’ve had a question that feels stupid to ask for so long but where do u look at to take the pictures ? should u look into the selfie mirror always or the lens ?
just got my fujifilm mini 9 yesterday. as a photography major in college, using this camera is challenging, so not what im used to, but your video gave me some tips i found really helpful, especially about the mirror and group selfie thing. i really appreciate it, thx!!!
I got out my camera and took a mirror pic with the last film and wondered why it was so dark, I just assumed that the film had expired since its been years since I've used it but lucky I decided to search up some tips just in case ahahah
what setting would you recommend when outside on a sunny day? i also heard to cover the flash on really sunny days because it can make the picture white. what would your recommend?
Oh my god don't even try to take a sunset photo! I took two yesterday and it was totally black even though i used the cloud setting once and the indoor setting (indoor setting is supposed to let in more light, still it was totally black)

Hi, I'm interested in purchasing either the Instax Mini 11 or 12. I'm not a professional photographer; I just want the camera to capture moments. However, I'm unsure about which one to buy. I'd like to know which of these cameras takes better pictures and if there's a significant difference in picture quality ?
great question! i actually don’t have the mini 12 or know about new features of the mini 12 so i am not the person to ask for this. I hope you can find out!
Thank you so much for all the explanations. I searched so much until I find your video. I am so grateful because I didn't undertood how my camara worked and some photos were sooo dark o sooo bright. So thank you for this video 😭🩷🩷🩷
hi. please i want to take a picture of the screen of my labtop but i don't know what better setting and should i turn off the light of the room while i took a photo because the photo is completely white
no it won’t!! it just has a flash but when you reload film later nothing happens. i usually take a last photo after they run out just in case there’s still any film left!!
I just ordered the instax mini 11 and I’m kinda scared if it’s a right decision, but really excited about it I’m even trying to learn how to films good pictures so I don’t waste. Can’t wait to get the camera 🫢💃🏻💃🏻
hmmm, yeah it definitely seems that it’d be broken. there also are newer models where you don’t manually change the lens. but if it’s not changing the lens, make sure it’s turned on and the lens it’s popped out
having shooting the high tech full frame A7III, i suddenly have trouble getting proper exposure on this camera 😂😂. quite embarrasing. its always underexposed. plus i have trouble turning it on the first time since the on button is in the position of the lens release button of an interexchangeable lens camera
i think they’re both good, for the 11 you don’t have to set the lighting settings but that’s also annoying if you want creative freedom. the 11 has a selfie mode but i’m not the biggest fan of the selfie mode.

- Do NOT cover flash when looking
- House mode: Let’s the a lot ofof light in
- Cloud mode: little less light in
- Medium sun: medium amount of light
- Big sun: SMALLEST amount of light
- High Key: MOST amount of light
- S in number block means there is a plastic sheet
- If all exposure keys are blinking-> ur batteries r dead
- DO NOT PULL POLAROID PIC WAIT
- Don’t touch actual picture with fingers unless u want fingerprints
- Do not shake photo, messes with chemicals
- Keep in DARK area!!
- keep away from reflecting surfaces
- make SURE no fingers in lens (won’t show up in view finder)
- there is ALWAYS flash so THE FLASH PICS UP THE CLOSEST THING ( so nothing in between lens and object u want to shoot)
- get your camera as close as possible

- if taking a selfie make the takers face furthest in mirror
- fill in the frame!
- in portraits let medium amounts of light in
- DO NOT POINT AT SUN!
