As a rack player myself I think you might be underestimating the power of saga simply creating two tokens then grabbing shadow spear and swinging for 4 lifelink against creature based decks
Miss the simplicity of the original build. Still bust it out occasionally. Didn’t know about these upgrades. Awful expensive but going to start piecing it together.
Maybe a toxic deluge in main or at least one or two in sideboard? It puts even more pressure on the life total but it seems like it would have gotten you out of a few bad situations in this league. A lot of decks are just dumping out low cmc creatures right now.
if an amateur can go 3-2 with a bad rack deck (and yes, as a rack player myself, this version is ass, bowmasters in the side is laughable, and no dauthi or grief in the main even though we have an overwhelming amount of card advantage is insane) then the rack is indeed back.

I have been playing the version from “against the odds” video made a while back, slowly upgrading it, but trying to stick to “creatureless” version, but probably it is time to change it. Also I hate to cut below 8 racks effects, but they are so slow in current meta. How many do you play?
@@EionBlue it was 2-3 not 3-2... Which means you didn't even watch the video and just ff to see the results at the end, so I guess you can't judge his gameplay as amateur

I see a lot of the ruby storm being played, so I made atarka burn using cindervines and it gets funny when the kill themselves
I feel like break the ice will help make the tron/eldrazi match up better
Seems clear at first sight that the deck is going to be better without smallpox

It's not meant to be cast, but rather used to shuffle your graveyard into your deck vs. Mill opponents.

Griefs makes it a completely different deck , imo. I saw a video with Augurs as well as Shadows. I’d rather call that “grief scam” than “8-rack”.
